Gunsan: An Incredible Value for a 1-Night, 2-Day Trip

When you're planning a family trip to Gunsan with your kids and dog,

the biggest concern is always finding pet-friendly accommodation.

When traveling with your furry friend, the key factors are a comfortable room and nearby walking paths.

This time, we stayed at Hotel Nawoon Gunsan, which is one of Gunsan's famous spots,

located right near Eunpa Lake Park,

making it an absolutely ideal location for pet owners.

So, let me share our 1-night, 2-day experience at Hotel Nawoon in Gunsan!

It's a highly recommended, budget-friendly pet-friendly accommodation if you're visiting Gunsan.

Finding pet-friendly accommodation in Gunsan was really toughㅠㅠ

Hotel Nawoon Gunsan could only be booked through Agoda or Yeogi Eottae,

and Agoda was much cheaper!

Address: Hotel Nawoon, 84 Hyeonchung-ro, Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do

Parking: Dedicated parking spaces are available at the front and side of the hotel building.

The parking spaces are not narrow, so SUVs and larger vehicles can park without much difficulty,

making the start of our trip very convenient.

Hotel Nawoon's biggest advantages are its pet-friendly policy and its fantastic location.

You can walk to Eunpa Lake Park, one of Gunsan's representative healing spots,

and it's also close to the central area of Nawoon-dong, where many great restaurants are located.

Even to Gyeongam-dong Railroad Village or the Modern History Street,

it's only about a 10-15 minute drive,

making it an excellent base for planning your Gunsan travel itinerary.

Operating Hours & Pet Etiquette

As a pet-friendly hotel, it's important to follow the rules so everyone can enjoy a pleasant stay.

There are separate pet-friendly rooms, so make sure to check and book accordingly!

And just in case, we recommend calling ahead to confirm your dog's weight and breed

before making a reservation.

Our dog is a 10kg medium-sized Jindo.

Pet Etiquette: In common areas like the lobby or elevator,

pets must be in a carrier or held in your arms.

This is because guests without pets also use the accommodation,

and you'll need to use the elevator when moving around!

1st Floor: Counter, Self-service Bar (Breakfast)

Pet-Friendly Exclusive Rooms: Pet amenities provided, a portion of proceeds donated to Hwarang Kindergarten Adoption Healing Center

Smoking Area: Left under the entrance stairs / Back exit at the end of the 1st-floor walkway

Operating Hours: Check-in 4 PM / Check-out 12 PM

Not just for pets, but also for human travelers,

disposable amenities are provided.

Umbrellas, hair ties, cotton swabs, etc.

Hotel Nawoon operates dedicated pet-friendly rooms, which are rare to find in Gunsan.

Just like other reviews mentioned, even though these rooms are used by dogs,

the accommodation is impeccably managed without any characteristic pet odors.

We traveled not only with our dog but also with our child, and the cleanliness was truly excellent!

It was great to have plenty of bottled water for our one-night stay.

And if you ever run out of water in your room, you can always grab more at the self-service bar on the first floor!

For guests with pets staying in the pet-friendly rooms at Gunsan Naun Hotel, they thoughtfully provide a separate set of doggy essentials.

(large towel, pee pads, wet wipes, waste bags)

And in the pet-exclusive rooms,

you'll find all the basic pet supplies ready for you!

(food bowl, water bowl, dog house, pet cushion, bed stairs)

For short trips like our family's 1-night, 2-day visit to Gunsan,

this hotel is absolutely perfect if you don't want to pack extra pet gear!

Self-Service Bar

Another fantastic feature of Gunsan Hotel Naun is the self-service bar conveniently located in front of the reception desk.

The breakfast menu offers a neat and simple spread, including toast, eggs, coffee, and other beverages.

Beyond the microwave, coffee machine, ice maker, hot water dispenser, and freezer,

I was truly impressed to find a styler available too! Haha.

It seems especially useful for families traveling on rainy days or after enjoying a hearty meat meal.

There are separate tables and chairs available as well.

After an early morning stroll around Eunpa Lake Park,

it's the perfect spot to enjoy a light breakfast.

It's a thoughtful service from Gunsan Naun Hotel,

designed to energize travelers for their day ahead.

There's also a laundry service, but it's not complimentary.

Laundry and drying, including detergent, costs ~$4 per cycle.

Also, please note there are separate reception hours for the laundry and drying service!

Services for Your Dog

The reason Hotel Naun is so beloved by dog owners

is all thanks to its truly practical services for dogs.

Not only do they provide dog essentials like pee pads when you check into a pet-friendly room,

but there's also a small outdoor exercise area available!

If you can't take your dog for a walk before or after checking in,

you can let them play for a bit in the small dog park prepared by the Gunsan accommodation.

It's not huge, but it's certainly not cramped either.

Plus, there's a dedicated pet photo zone right in front of the reception desk on the first floor!

With dog clothes and accessories available,

it truly made me feel like this is a genuinely pet-friendly place to stay.

Not only is the price more affordable compared to other accommodations,

but with so many services and the pet-friendly option,

I was truly grateful to the hotel owner.
