Being able to reserve the sauna and pool for your desired time slot

01. Tashkent Hotel Recommendation: Marwa Hotel Tashkent Pool&Spa Check-in

The exterior of Tashkent Marwa Hotel
had a clean, newly built feel to it.
During check-in,
✔ You can book your sauna session at the same time.
✔ You can select your preferred time slot.
Although I couldn't use the swimming pool,
they said the pool operates similarly to the sauna;
you can reserve it at the front desk before use.

making it a great location for both sightseeing and getting around.

02. Tashkent Hotel Recommendation: Marwa Hotel Tashkent Pool&Spa Room Interior

As soon as I stepped inside the room,
it felt just as clean and new as the exterior.
Sauna robes were provided by the entrance,
and the bed was clean and wonderfully soft.
The bathroom was also spotless,
and with a balcony, it was easy to get some fresh air.
Overall, it was a hotel perfect for a comfortable rest.
While other places averaged over ~$69 per night,
I was able to book it on Agoda for around ~$55 per night,
making it the most affordable option.

03. Tashkent Hotel Recommendation: Marwa Hotel Tashkent Pool&Spa Sauna Review

Wanting to shake off our last bit of travel fatigue before heading out,
we booked a sauna session for the morning before check-out.
We put on the robes from our room, grabbed our towels,
and headed down with comfortable shoes and water.
The sauna was located on the basement level,
and we were guided to our reserved room
among several sauna rooms.

✔ Private space
✔ Includes shower room / changing room / restroom
✔ Cold plunge pool available
Stepping into our reserved spot,
we found a sauna and a cold plunge pool, all exclusively for us to enjoy.

The sauna's interior was made of wood
and maintained a comfortably warm temperature.

Inside the sauna,
there were heated stones and a basket filled with water.
Wanting to work up a good sweat,
we poured water over the stones to make it even toastier.

It was just the right warm temperature—comfortable enough to even use your phone inside—but after a while,
beads of sweat started forming.
Lying down and soaking in the warmth,
all the fatigue from our travels completely melted away.
04. Tashkent Hotel Recommendation: Hotel Marwa Tashkent Pool&Spa
The reason Hotel Marwa stands out even more in my memory
is because of this final moment.

We were trying to hail a taxi to head to Shymkent,
but Yandex kept failing to connect.
As we were struggling in the lobby,
a staff member approached us and asked if everything was alright.
When we explained,
they told us we should use the MyTaxi app for long distances, brought us some water, and started helping us personally.
When our Korean phone number wasn't working for verification during account creation,
they offered to delete their own account linked to their phone number
and let us register with it!...
We were so grateful but also incredibly apologetic,
so we told them we'd try to create our own account first.
We succeeded in creating the account, but then
card registration was taking forever... 🥹
After we'd been struggling in the lobby for quite a while,
they came over again to check on us.
Then, suddenly,
Lady, I've called a taxi, and
I've already paid for it, so
you don't need to worry.
they told us. We felt so incredibly sorry and grateful that we asked how we could pay, explaining we didn't have much cash and wanted to pay by card if possible ㅠㅠ. But they just smiled and said it was fine.
And then,
I wish you a safe and pleasant journey.
they said, and honestly,
I felt the warmth of humanity right then and there...

In that moment, feeling so incredibly grateful and apologetic,
I pulled out whatever I had in my suitcase to offer them:
canned kimchi...
(It felt so insignificant... 😭)

It was a significant amount, and it's not easy to
spontaneously extend such kindness to complete strangers, is it?
To Mahmed, once again, my sincerest gratitude and love...🤍
It was one of the most memorable acts of kindness I've received while traveling,
and I still feel so incredibly thankful and touched by it...🥹🤍
