🏨 My Last Stop in Tashkent: A Heavenly Stay 🏨

My final accommodation for the Uzbekistan trip was

the Holiday Inn Tashkent City.

After staying in various accommodations across Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, stepping into Room 407 felt like a whole different level of comfort.

The room was spacious!

The bedding was pristine white!

And could there really be this many lights?!

While all the previous places I stayed had their own charm, I specifically chose this hotel so I could fully relax at the end of my trip.

Perhaps that's why it felt even more like heaven to me 😂

If you're looking for a clean and comfortable hotel right in front of Tashkent City Mall,

I highly recommend the Holiday Inn!

01 A Welcoming Lobby Even Before Check-in

I arrived at the hotel around 1 PM.

It was two hours earlier than the official check-in time,

but luckily there was a vacant room, so I could check in immediately.

I'm not sure if it was because I checked in on a weekday, but I was thrilled to get Room 407 on one of the higher floors!

Of course, this doesn't mean early check-in is always available;

it was just a lucky experience on the day I visited.

The lobby had spacious sofas and a cafe area,

and the reception staff spoke excellent English.

What I was most relieved to see was the ATM right in the lobby.

It even had a dollar exchange function, which was incredibly convenient.

Near the end of a trip, if you run low on cash, searching for an ATM can be a real hassle ㅠ_ㅠ

02 Standard Room 407

A Welcome Sight After Previous Stays

For the last day of my Uzbekistan trip,

I really wanted to relax comfortably in a proper hotel.

And the moment I stepped into Room 407,

I knew I had made the right booking.

The room was spacious, the pristine white bedding was clean,

and I was absolutely delighted with the overall condition of the room.

Next to the bed, there were reading lamps and mood lighting,

and power outlets were available on both sides.

After constantly moving between cities, having these basic amenities felt like an absolute lifesaver, haha!

Two bottles of mineral water, an electric kettle, tea bags, instant coffee, and a mini-fridge were all provided.

The room also had a large mirror,

two sofas, and two tables.

The outlets were standard 220V, so I could plug in my chargers without needing an adapter.

There was even a USB charging port,

so charging my phone was no trouble at all.

If the pillow height or firmness wasn't to my taste, I could have requested a replacement at reception.

But I didn't want to bother with that,

so I just slept with the standard pillows, haha.

03 Bathroom and Dove Amenities

The bathroom was spacious and sparkling clean!

The bathroom was just as spacious as the room,

and the towels were clean and fluffy.

Instead of generic products in small unlabeled bottles, it was a pleasant surprise to find Dove amenities provided

There was shampoo, body wash, and hand wash,

but no separate hair conditioner.

A toothbrush and toothpaste were provided,

but there was no comb, cotton swabs, cotton pads, or razor.

Make sure to bring any other essentials you might need.

Luckily, a hairdryer was available!

While the amenity selection wasn't particularly luxurious, I was thoroughly satisfied with how clean and spacious the bathroom was.

04 The Breakfast Buffet: Lots of Variety

My verdict: Clean, but a bit lacking in food quality

Breakfast hours were from 7 AM to 11 AM.

Walking into the breakfast area, the selection seemed endless at first, but after trying the dishes, I felt the actual quality didn't quite match the variety.

There was an especially huge selection of bread.

From savory breads to dessert pastries like croissants and donuts,

there was every kind imaginable!

If I hadn't been so full, I definitely would have tried the desserts—I still regret not taking any photos of them ^_ㅠ

On the other hand, the fruit selection was smaller than I expected.

I had melon and banana,

but the melon wasn't as sweet as what I've had at other accommodations,

which was a bit disappointing.

There was an impressively wide assortment of milk, cheese, and yogurt.

Since many people were taking several types of cheese,

I decided to try some too,

...but to be honest, I couldn't really tell what they were supposed to taste like...?

At the egg station, you can choose your desired ingredients

and request an omelet to be made.

Being a bit greedy, I put in all the ingredients!

The more I added, the more delicious it was!!

This was my most satisfying dish from breakfast.

I went around 8 AM, and most of the seats were already taken,

so I ended up sitting at a table far from the food stations.

It was a bit inconvenient having to walk back and forth every time I wanted another plate.

There were also terrace seats, but it was too cold, so I passed on those.

So, my final verdict on breakfast is,

while the restaurant was clean and had a wide variety of bread,

I probably wouldn't choose this hotel solely based on its breakfast.

05 Unbeatable Location: Right Opposite City Mall

Shopping and Dining Sorted Without Traveling Far

Holiday Inn Tashkent City is located

directly opposite Tashkent City Mall.

Surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes, it was super convenient to take care of shopping and meals without having to travel far.

Right next door at Tashkent City Park, I even got to see a musical fountain show at night!

Many travelers look for hotels near Amir Temur Square in Tashkent, but I didn't feel it was necessary.

The tourist spots I visited were quite spread out,

so I ended up taking taxis to get around most of the time anyway.

In fact, toward the end of my trip, staying close to City Mall and nearby restaurants was much more practical than being near a single tourist spot.

06 Holiday Inn Tashkent City - Overall Review

A hotel I'd gladly rebook for the room and location alone!

f I had to point out any drawbacks, it would be the average breakfast and the minimal amenity selection.

But honestly, nothing about the stay felt truly uncomfortable.

The fridge and charging ports were well-equipped,

and with City Mall right in front,

it was perfect for relaxing on my last day of travel.

Maybe it felt that way because I had just wrapped up a long trip through Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.

Looking back, it still feels like total paradise 😂

I would definitely book this place again if I need a comfortable hotel to unwind at the end of a Tashkent trip.
