Hotel Europa is a 3-star accommodation located right in Sol Square, the heart of Madrid's city center.
Despite its 3-star rating, the location and views are truly exceptional, and the room sizes are quite generous.
📍 For two people, the accommodation cost typically starts around ~$207 on weekdays. If you book a room with a Sol Square view, expect to pay around ~$276.
First, let me explain why we ultimately chose Hotel Europa out of all the available accommodations.
Since our Madrid itinerary was quite short, we were looking for a hotel with an excellent location. The absolute heart of the city's tourist attractions was undeniably Sol Square.

In fact, we could reach all the major city attractions on foot, making our trip incredibly convenient.
Furthermore, even late at night, past midnight, the area is bustling with people, so safety and security were never a concern.
Beyond convenience, the stunning view of Sol Square from our room was another key reason for our choice.
As we were on our honeymoon, we were willing to pay a bit more for a hotel with a truly atmospheric view.
And the charming view of the square and surrounding buildings from our room's terrace completely fulfilled our desire.

Next, I'll share our experience staying in a Hotel Europa room with a Sol Square view.
Hotel Europa's lobby was surprisingly clean and bright, with a white-themed aesthetic.
We arrived around 11:00 PM, and even then, the staff member warmly welcomed us.
We were the last guests to check in that day, and the staff member greeted us by name as soon as we walked in.
The guest room mirrored the lobby's white palette, complemented by wood-toned furniture. We found the room to be surprisingly spacious.
There was ample room to spread out two large suitcases comfortably.
Room amenities included a coffee maker, a safe, and complimentary bottled water. We didn't really use most of them.
However, receiving complimentary bottled water in Europe, where water can be pricey, was a pleasant surprise.
While the room itself was a standard 3-star hotel offering, the bathroom felt significantly more luxurious.
The warm yellow and gray tile tones gave it the feel of an upscale apartment bathroom, and it was indeed spacious and impeccably clean, which we really appreciated.
The bathroom was fully stocked with all necessary amenities, including a hairdryer, dental cups, and toothbrushes.
What we particularly loved was that the body wash and other toiletries were provided in individual travel kits, not large communal dispensers. Each person received one, and we even saved an extra one to use at our next accommodation!
Earlier, I showed you the spectacular night view of Sol Square from the hotel, but the morning sunrise is equally breathtaking.
Waking up around 6:00 AM to head out for a day trip, I stepped onto the terrace and was greeted by a pink sky over an empty street. It was a truly captivating sight.
That authentic European ambiance made me feel truly glad we chose this hotel.
The Hotel Europa in Madrid, which we've introduced today, undoubtedly made our honeymoon even more romantic, thanks to its incredible views of Sol Square.
Can you imagine the feeling of standing on the terrace, sipping coffee, and soaking in that view? It's pure magic!
However, with its dual strengths of travel convenience and a romantic view, it's not the most budget-friendly option.
Therefore, we highly recommend this hotel to those who prioritize location over strict budget, or couples on a honeymoon where a stunning view is essential.
