Free Admission: My Real Experience

I went in right at that specific time slot,

and the line was longer than I expected.

After waiting for quite a while, I finally got in,

but with only two hours left until closing,

there was no time to leisurely stand in front of the masterpieces😂

I ended up just wandering around where the crowds were,

feeling like I barely saw anything...

Typically, it takes about 3 hours to truly explore this place.

Especially when I stood before Velázquez's 'Las Meninas',

I felt a strange, almost indescribable sensation.

The gazes and composition of the figures in the painting

felt completely different from how they appear in photos.

But it was a shame that I had no time or leisure to listen to the background explanations in that moment.

And since I absolutely adore Greek and Roman mythology,

I was thrilled to see so many paintings at the Prado Museum

inspired by myths.

If I had known this in advance,

I would have enjoyed it so much more.

After all, the more you know, the more you see!

Just a heads-up: photography is strictly prohibited for all artworks in the Prado Museum,

so you'll have to capture them with your eyes only.
