Let me share all about it, starting with the room I personally stayed in,

Horizon Village: Basic Information and Location |
Horizon Village is an accommodation
with diverse facilities within the resort, including a swimming pool, a vast garden,
and even an animal zone.

It was the perfect Chiang Mai resort for days when you want to cut back on sightseeing
and instead spend your time leisurely at your accommodation.

Beyond just relaxing in your room,
there are so many places to spend your time, whether strolling or swimming,
making it ideal for an itinerary focused on slowly unwinding at the resort rather than sightseeing.

Exploring the Room and Facilities |
The room
had a warm atmosphere, decorated throughout with wood tones.

The beds are available in either twin or double configurations,
and with bedside tables on both sides of the bed,
it's convenient to place your phone or small personal items.

The room is also equipped with hangers, a drying rack, and even an umbrella.
After a swim, when you come back,
Having a space to dry swimsuits or wet clothes
was more practical than I thought.

There's also a desk and chair,
and with wood-toned furniture and lighting,
the entire room had a cozy atmosphere.

A vanity, wardrobe, slippers, and all the other basic amenities
you need for your stay
are provided.

In the bathroom, basic amenities like body wash and shampoo
are provided,
and the sink and shower areas are separated.

What I loved about Horizon Village was
that there was so much to do outside the room.
I actually spent time swimming
and strolling through the spacious garden.

The resort also has a sprawling botanical garden.
Rather than just taking a quick photo and leaving,
it's better to set aside dedicated time for a stroll.

We also saw bicycles and buggy cars.
If you're planning to explore the vast grounds,
it's a good idea to double-check how to use them and their costs on-site.

Luk Chup Making and Resort Dining |
Of all the things I did at Horizon Village,
the most memorable was the Luk Chup making experience.

Luk Chup is a traditional Thai dessert made from bean paste.

Adding experiences like this, beyond just swimming and garden strolls,
meant that even without purposefully heading into the city,
the day flew by.

During my visit, I also had meals within the resort.
Among the various dishes,
the Khao Soi I ate here was truly delicious.

Not having to go back into the city for meals
made it easy to continue the relaxed flow of resort life.

Minnie's Planning Tips |
1. Separate your city sightseeing days from your resort relaxation days. |
Rather than constantly commuting between Old Town and Nimmanhaemin,
when you set aside dedicated days to stay at the accommodation,
you can best utilize the advantages of Horizon Village.
2. If you're staying for one night, ensure you have the afternoon after check-in and the next morning free. |
Rather than checking in late, just sleeping, and leaving,
I recommend securing time for swimming and garden strolls.
Spend some time within the resort itself,
and the reason you chose this place will become wonderfully clear.
3. If you're visiting the Elephant Cafe, remember to factor in travel time! |
After visiting the Elephant Cafe,
I headed over to Horizon Village.
Since these two locations aren't right next to each other,
it's a good idea to plan not just the time you'll spend at the cafe,
but also the travel time by car.
Final Thoughts |
Horizon Village is
a Chiang Mai resort perfectly suited for those who want to spend a full day enjoying their accommodation—
swimming, strolling through the gardens, and savoring various experiences and meals.
If your Chiang Mai itinerary includes a day dedicated to
slow relaxation rather than constant sightseeing,
then definitely consider Horizon Village as a top contender for your stay.
