Hong Kong Souvenirs Guide 2026: Markets & Cookies
Explore the ultimate Hong Kong souvenir guide for 2026. From budget market finds to melt-in-your-mouth Jenny Bakery cookies, here is what to buy!

Hong Kong Souvenir Shopping List
You can't go on a trip to Hong Kong
without doing some souvenir shopping, right?
Today, I’ve put together a curated shopping list
of the best souvenirs to bring home from your Hong Kong adventures.
From the Temple Street Night Market to Jenny Bakery
and Wellcome Supermarket, here are my top recommendations!
1. Night Markets

When it comes to souvenir shopping in Hong Kong,
the night markets are an absolute must-visit.
The two most famous ones are Ladies' Market
and Temple Street Night Market.
While they’re quite similar, I found that
Ladies' Market was slightly cheaper for souvenirs!
Ladies' Market opens from 11:00 AM
and Temple Street starts around 2:00 PM,
but I highly recommend going after 7:00 PM.
That’s when all the stalls are fully open and buzzing,
making it the perfect time to soak up the energy! :)

It's a fantastic spot to pick up classic memorabilia
like Hong Kong t-shirts, magnets, keychains,
and hand towels.
Some stalls have fixed price tags, while others
are completely open to some friendly bargaining.
It's a great place to snag some budget-friendly gifts.
Also, here’s a pro tip for Ladies' Market:
the deeper you walk into the market, the cheaper things get!
Instead of buying at the very entrance, head further inside
to get the absolute best deals on your souvenirs. haha
Most stalls sell pretty much the same items,
so just wander in, find a spot with a reasonable price,
and start bargaining!

Wearing a t-shirt with a classic Hong Kong logo
was so much fun during the trip,
and now that I'm back home, it makes the perfect,
cozy pajama shirt to lounge in. lol
I bought mine for 20 HKD (around $2.50 USD),
which is a pretty great price to aim for.
Some stalls will give you an extra discount if you buy multiple,
so if you’re traveling with friends or family,
getting matching tees is highly recommended!

Temple Street Night Market offers similar souvenirs
to those at Ladies' Market,
but it's also packed with fantastic street food.
If you want to eat while you shop, choose Temple Street.
If you're expecting a massive night market like those in
Thailand or Vietnam, you might be a little underwhelmed.
Still, they serve everything from local Cantonese food to
various Asian street dishes, making it a great spot to explore. :)

Since I had already eaten dinner, I didn't try a full meal,
and the prices did seem a little on the higher side.
However, I did grab one of the famous Hong Kong egg waffles.
It was incredibly crispy, and tearing off the warm bubbles
one by one was absolutely delicious!
2. Jenny Bakery

Jenny Bakery cookies—the absolute must-have
on any Hong Kong souvenir shopping list!
While you can easily find them online these days,
buying them right here in Hong Kong is so much cheaper,
and the variety is incredible!

The absolute classic and the perfect gift
for friends is the Mix 4 Varieties tin,
which is No. 11.
Also, No. 3 (Macadamia Cocoa Crisp) is thin, crispy,
and universally loved by almost everyone.
I highly recommend No. 3—
make sure to stock up on it!
Since they're incredibly popular, they might
sell out if you go too late. I highly recommend
heading there early in the day!

For context, I visited around lunchtime on a rainy weekday.
I only had to wait about 3 minutes to buy mine,
and the super-popular No. 3 Macadamia flavor,
which is the next best-seller after No. 11,
was still fully in stock.
But since crowds can vary wildly depending on
the day and weather, the earlier you go,
the better!

Oh, and keep in mind that Jenny Bakery doesn't accept
credit cards or Octopus cards. It's strictly cash-only,
so make sure to bring plenty of cash! :)
3. Kee Wah Bakery

If you're not a fan of overly sweet cookies,
Kee Wah Bakery is the perfect Hong Kong souvenir spot.
Their egg rolls are so delicious that I had to make
a return visit on this trip as well. They are a bit pricey,
but the premium, sophisticated flavor is absolutely
worth every penny.
They make a fantastic gift for parents. Packaged beautifully
in elegant tin cases with a wonderful, delicate texture,
they look and taste highly premium.

I bought mine at the Kee Wah Bakery branch in the IFC Mall,
where they happily accepted both credit cards
and Octopus cards.
No worries if you don't make it to the IFC Mall during your trip!
There's also a branch at the airport, so you can easily
pick some up after check-in. :)
4. Wellcome Supermarket

Whenever I travel, I love checking out local grocery stores.
So, I paid a visit to Wellcome, one of Hong Kong's
most famous local supermarket chains.
It's the perfect place to stock up on local favorites
at budget-friendly prices—from Hong Kong's beloved national drink,
VLT (Vita Lemon Tea), to instant milk teas.

Plus, you can grab the famous Nin Jiom herbal throat lozenges
here for a great price!
The tins are super cute, making them perfect
as a light, easy gift for friends back home.
The taste is very similar to classic herbal throat lozenges,
so they are incredibly easy to enjoy. Since they're a crowd-pleaser
that almost everyone likes, I highly recommend Nin Jiom candy as a souvenir!
5. Hong Kong Souvenir Shopping Checklist

And that's a wrap! I've shared
four fantastic spots to tick off
your souvenir shopping list during your Hong Kong adventure.
To be honest, Hong Kong doesn't have a huge variety
of "exclusive" local specialties, so it might feel
like there's not much to buy at first. But as you explore,
you'll definitely find unique items that catch your eye!
I hope you keep these recommendations in mind
and enjoy a wonderful, fun-filled shopping spree on your trip.

Where can I buy Kee Wah Bakery egg rolls, which are great gifts for those who don't like sweet cookies?
You can buy Kee Wah Bakery egg rolls at their store in Hong Kong's IFC Mall or at the airport on your departure day. Both credit cards and Octopus Cards are accepted, making shopping convenient.
What are some good items to buy as light gifts at Wellcome Supermarket in Hong Kong?
You can buy Hong Kong's national drinks, VLT (Vita Lemon Tea) and milk tea, at affordable prices. Nin Jiom herbal drops are also highly recommended as light gifts; they taste similar to Korean throat lozenges, so they are widely liked, and they come in cute tins.
