Your Guide to Hong Kong Disneyland: Transport, Tickets, DPA & Attractions
Words & Photos by Lara
Hey there, fellow adventurers! It's Lara, and I'm thrilled to share my latest escapade with you. ◡̎
Hong Kong Disney Land might be on the cozier side compared to its global counterparts, but don't let its size fool you! It packs a punch with enchanting experiences and thrilling rides.
Even as an adult, the magic of a theme park never fades, right? The thrill, the wonder, the pure joy – it's all still there! ♬

Especially with the incredible World of Frozen, Hong Kong Disneyland is an absolute dream for fans! I’m here to spill all the secrets on how to get there, snag the best ticket deals, understand Disney Premier Access (DPA), and discover the must-try attractions. .ᐟ
01. How to Get to Hong Kong Disneyland -MTR, Taxi, Bus |

While Hongkong Disneyland is a bit outside the city center, getting there is a breeze thanks to excellent public transport options like the MTR (subway), buses, and taxis. You can easily pick the best route based on your starting point.

🚇 Subway (MTR)
From Central or Kowloon Station, hop on the orange Tung Chung Line and ride it to Sunny Bay Station. There, you'll transfer to the dedicated Disneyland Resort Line. This isn't just any train – it's decked out with Mickey Mouse-shaped windows and handrails, making the journey itself part of the magical experience!

🚌 Bus
Another convenient option is taking a public bus. Routes like R33 and R42, departing from areas like Tsim Sha Tsui or near the airport, offer direct service to a stop close to the park entrance. This is perfect if you prefer avoiding MTR transfers or simply want to enjoy the city views during your ride.

🚕 Taxi
After a full day of excitement, I opted for a taxi back to the city. Let's just say my feet were done with walking! I called an Uber, and the ride from Disneyland to Wan Chai cost me about ~$38. Definitely worth it when you're tired but happy! .ᐟ
02. Hong Kong Disneyland Attraction Types -From the World of Frozen to Iron Man Experience |

Hands down, the most popular and absolutely unmissable ride is Frozen Ever After in the World of Frozen. .ᐟ
It offers just the right amount of thrill with a captivating storyline – I loved it so much I rode it twice! ㅋㅋㅋ

Other fantastic attractions that are a blast without being too intense include the Iron Man Experience, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!, and the classic 'it's a small world'.

For those seeking a bigger thrill, many say Hyperspace Mountain is the park's most intense ride. However, when I visited, it was temporarily closed for maintenance. Always check the official Hong Kong Disneyland website or app for the latest operating hours and ride closures before your visit! . . .ᐟ

Fireworks Viewing Spot Tip
The spectacular Disney fireworks show typically kicks off at 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM.

Best spot to see the fireworks! .ᐟ
For the best view of the fireworks, aim for the circular flowerbed area directly in front of Cinderella's Carousel, near Main Street, U.S.A. This spot offers an unobstructed panorama.
Try to position yourself as close to the flowerbed as possible. Around 8:00 PM (or when any priority viewing access concludes), the barriers are often removed, allowing you to quickly move forward and snag a prime viewing spot! 〰️

One of the best things about Hongkong Disney compared to other Disney parks is that it often feels less crowded, making for a much more comfortable and enjoyable viewing experience of the fireworks – no intense jostling for space! ^_ㅠ
03. Ticket Discount Information & DPA -Where to Find the Best Deals on Disney Premier Access! .ᐟ |

You wouldn't buy tickets at the gate for full price, would you?! Always, always buy your Hong Kong Disneyland tickets online in advance to save money and time. .ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ

Hong Kong Disneyland uses a tiered pricing system, meaning ticket prices vary by date. Weekends and public holidays, when crowds are larger, are typically more expensive than weekdays. To get the best deal, confirm your travel dates and book your tickets as far in advance as possible.

I thoroughly compared prices across several popular platforms like MyRealTrip, Klook, and Trip.com. For a standard admission ticket, Klook and Trip.com offered similar competitive prices, around ~$102.

If you're planning to add Disney Premier Access (DPA) to skip the lines on popular attractions, I wholeheartedly recommend Klook. While Trip.com's DPA package was around ~$162, Klook offered it for a much more appealing ~$115 – a significant price difference! If you're bundling DPA with your ticket, Klook is definitely the way to go. .ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ ꒰𖤐꒱
Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets - Klook
Honestly, DPA is a game-changer. Without it, you can expect to wait 60-90 minutes for the most popular attractions, especially during peak times. .ᐟ

In my opinion, since Hong Kong Disneyland is a bit smaller and more established compared to some of the newer parks globally, an 8-attraction DPA pass might be overkill if you've already experienced other Disney parks. A 3-attraction pass is usually more than enough to hit the highlights and save significant time. .ᐟ

That wraps up my guide to Hong Kong Disneyland! Hope this helps you plan your magical adventure. See you next time! 〰️
