I ended up planning a sudden last-minute getaway to Hong Kong for the end of the year, and I literally packed my bags on the morning of my flight!

There were so many mixed reviews online about whether December in Hong Kong is actually cold or totally fine. Knowing myself and how easily I get chilled, I knew I had to prepare for the cold.
So...
I packed a light puffer jacket, a windbreaker, and my trusty Barbour wax jacket.
My itinerary ran from Wednesday to Saturday, and the weather was consistently windy and cloudy. Classic me—the sun only decided to show up on the day I was leaving!
On my first day, I wore thermal innerwear, an Ader Error long-sleeve tee, and jeans.
Look at how diverse the outfits were on the second day!
You’ll see everything from fleece hoodies, windbreakers, and leather jackets to light down puffers, heavy coats, Ugg boots, and sneakers.
After walking around, I realized that the temperature difference between sunny and cloudy moments is massive.
When the sun hides behind the clouds, it instantly feels incredibly brisk, chilly, and gloomy.
A long-sleeve shirt paired with a solid jacket is an absolute must. Also, hotel rooms here can get surprisingly cold and drafty at night, so I highly recommend packing cozy winter pajamas!
We headed to Disneyland yesterday. I initially stepped out in my Barbour jacket, but it was so freezing that I had to run back and change into a warmer coat! Haha.
My husband, who wore a long-sleeve shirt, a button-down, a Barbour jacket, and jeans, was shivering by nighttime.
Since you'll be walking around Disneyland late into the evening and waiting in the cold for the 'Momentous' castle light show, staying warm is crucial. I actually tried running around to find some fleece tights or stockings nearby, but they were nowhere to be found! Make sure to pack them ahead of time.
