During my trip to Ho Chi Minh, one day I wanted to pause the sightseeing and

truly indulge in a relaxing hotel getaway.

While there were many hotels with beautiful pools,

River View Deluxe Twin Room Review

Perfect for a relaxing break...

Mia Saigon, being smaller than larger chain hotels,

had fewer rooms, making it overall very quiet.

The staff were also incredibly friendly.

We actually arrived about an hour earlier than the check-in time,

and they were kind enough to offer us an early check-in, saying our room was ready!

The interior of the room had a serene yet

classic ambiance,

and the furniture was immaculately clean,

without a speck of dust.

Since all rooms boast a river view,

the scenery from our room made it feel like we weren't

in the bustling city center of Ho Chi Minh,

but rather in a tranquil European resort.

The room size was also generous,

leaving plenty of space to organize our belongings or move around

even with both suitcases fully open.

The washbasin, bathtub, shower, and toilet were also

separated, which was convenient as it meant our paths didn't cross

when two of us were getting ready at the same time.

If the time spent relaxing in your room is as important to you as sightseeing,

then this is definitely a hotel I'd recommend for a perfect hotel getaway.

Mia Saigon's Highlight: The Swimming Pool

This place's charm is absolutely incredible...

The biggest reason I chose this hotel was

its outdoor swimming pool, facing the Saigon River.

It looked beautiful in photos,

but seeing it in person, the atmosphere created by the pool and the classic building

was even more stunning.

There weren't many guests,

and the pool itself was spacious, so even with people on one side,

it never felt crowded.

Cabanas and sunbeds were plentiful,

making it perfect for reading a book or

simply relaxing when you weren't swimming.

The main pool gradually deepened

the further you went in.

The shallower end was great for couples

to enjoy a casual dip,

and right next to it, there was a separate toddlers' pool,

making it suitable for families with young children too.

If you want to wrap up your Ho Chi Minh trip

with a relaxing 'Hocance' (hotel vacation) for the last night,

this pool alone is reason enough to choose this hotel.

Breakfast with Champagne

Breakfast was a combination of à la carte dishes and a semi-buffet.

It wasn't just a breakfast with a vast number of options;

the taste and plating of each ordered dish

were meticulously prepared, which was very satisfying.

With hot, made-to-order items like pho, and an array of

bread, fruit, and salads available,

there was no need to overfill your plate first thing in the morning.

What really made it feel like a 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotel was

the availability of champagne and wine at breakfast.

Even if you don't usually drink in the morning,

sipping a glass while overlooking the Saigon River

definitely gave me that 'on vacation' feeling! Haha.

The breakfast restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

If you want to leisurely enjoy the Saigon River view, choose outdoors.

If you prefer to escape the heat and dine in coolness,

opt for an indoor spot.

One Minor Drawback

There weren't many restaurants or

attractions within walking distance of the hotel.

If your main goal is constant sightseeing,

the location might be less convenient than a District 1 city hotel.

However, ride-hailing costs in Ho Chi Minh are relatively affordable,

and you can reach central commercial areas like Thao Dien in District 2

by car in about 10-15 minutes.

If your plan is to enjoy a full day of 'Hocance' at Mia Saigon

and only call a car for dinner,

then the location won't feel like a major drawback at all.

Mia Saigon in Ho Chi Minh isn't just a pretty hotel;

it's a place where you can enjoy spacious river-view rooms, a relaxing pool,

and a high-quality breakfast.

It's especially the perfect 5-star hotel for couples

who want to focus on relaxation rather than sightseeing for a night or so during their Ho Chi Minh trip,

or for families looking for a quiet 'Hocance' with children.
