Laluna Cafe Ho Chi Minh Review 2026: Brunch in Phu My Hung
Explore Laluna Cafe Midtown, a popular brunch spot in Ho Chi Minh's Phu My Hung. Enjoy gourmet coffee, delightful dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a weekend outing.

My first visit to Phu My Hung Midtown in Ho Chi Minh City's District 7 was quite an adventure! This area is practically known as "Korean Town" due to its large Korean expatriate community. Getting here from District 2 was a bit of a trek, involving two bus rides and over an hour of travel, but totally worth it for a delightful weekend brunch.
We chose Laluna Cafe & Brunch, a popular spot in Phu My Hung Midtown, for our weekend date. I'm actually writing this post right now, sipping on coffee here!

The first floor was bustling, so we headed upstairs to the second floor.

Good to know: Laluna Cafe & Brunch Midtown also has a second branch nearby!

Our coffees arrived first. And let me tell you, this place is a coffee lover's dream! The Americano was hands down the best I've had since arriving in Ho Chi Minh. My companion ordered the Salted Caramel Brûlée Latte, which was marked as a bestseller. It was sweet and rich – absolutely perfect as a dessert coffee after the meal, but for pairing with our brunch, the Americano was definitely the winner.

The second-floor outdoor terrace was lovely. It even had a dedicated photo zone where a Vietnamese family was having a full-blown photoshoot!

Inside, the second floor featured a bookshelf, and I was surprised to find a few Korean books there. It really emphasizes the "Korean Town" feel of the neighborhood.

Next up was the Steak Bolognese. I requested my Black Angus steak medium-rare, and it arrived looking absolutely mouth-watering. I almost forgot to take a photo, I was so eager to dig in!

The pasta itself was a little on the bland side, but a quick request for salt and pepper fixed that right up, making it quite enjoyable.
Then came the Chicken Sandwich, my companion's favorite!

Nestled between soft brioche buns was a perfectly crispy fried chicken thigh, complemented by fresh tomatoes and crisp green apple slices. It was an excellent choice for brunch.

Delicious and incredibly filling! The staff were friendly, the food was tasty, the menu offered great variety, and the coffee was superb. It's easy to see why Laluna Cafe is so popular.
While I'm not sure when I'll be back to Phu My Hung Midtown, I know I'll be dreaming of that coffee!
