Looking for the perfect Osaka Namba hotel? Hiyori Hotel Namba Station offers unparalleled convenience, modern comfort, and fantastic amenities, right by Rapit Station and Namba Parks. Dive into my review!
Hiyori Hotel Namba Station: Your Home Base in Osaka's Namba!
For anyone stressing over where to stay while planning their trip, this is my go-to recommendation!
It's less than a 5-minute walk from Namba Station after arriving from Kansai Airport,
Dotonbori and Kuromon Market are just a stroll away,
Namba Parks and department stores are all within easy reach on foot,
the rooms are sparkling clean and spacious thanks to its new construction,
and it offers a wealth of amenities specifically chosen for travelers!
While it might still be a bit of a hidden gem for some,
it's a hugely popular spot among locals – the kind you need to book before the autumn leaves even begin to turn! Let me tell you all about my experience.

Osaka Accommodation: Is Namba Really the Best Spot?
Even after visiting Osaka around ten times,
I still find choosing accommodation a challenge every single trip,
and I always end up weighing Umeda vs. Dotonbori vs. Namba.
Dotonbori, with its Glico Man, is convenient for sightseeing, but...
Umeda: Super convenient for Universal Studios and Osaka Castle,
Dotonbori: Near the meeting points for Kyoto day bus tours,
Namba: Home to the Kansai Airport Express and Rapit train stations.
From my own experience,
if you're on a tight schedule and want to pack in sightseeing and shopping,
Namba, with its seamless airport connections,
is hands down the best location, especially for first-time visitors!
Near Nankai Namba Station is the most convenient!
And among all the options, Hiyori Hotel Namba Station's location is exceptionally convenient.
🔻🔻🔻
Nankai Namba Station: 5-minute walk
Dotonbori: 14-minute walk
Kuromon Market: 7-minute walk
Sakimoto Bakery, Komeda Coffee: 8-minute walk
Namba Parks (home to Beams, GU, Montbell, Danton) / Directly opposite Namba City... talk about prime location!!
Takashimaya Department Store: Directly connected via underground pass
On my last day, I grabbed breakfast at a cafe,
indulged in some serious shopping at Namba City and Parks, had lunch,
picked up my luggage from the hotel, and hopped on the Rapit train to the airport.
Not a single moment was wasted!
My friend even complimented me, saying
"Whoever picked this hotel, the location is absolutely perfect!"
This is the main building
While there are several Namba stations,
this hotel is conveniently located just across the street from Nankai Namba Station, where the Airport Express and Rapit trains pick up and drop off. This means no stress for first-timers, and it's well-lit and safe even if you're out late, offering peace of mind for female friends traveling together.
Review scores: Agoda 9/10, Trip.com 9.3/10
Everyone recommends Hiyori Hotel with review scores of 9 or higher.
Despite being so fantastic, perhaps because it lacks a traditional onsen (public bath),
you'll find more Japanese locals and Western travelers here than Korean visitors.
Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, family, or your partner, this place is bound to win you over. So, if your interest is piqued,
Hiyori Namba Station didn't have a lot of English reviews (or Korean ones, for that matter),
and I'd never heard of it, so I actually assumed it was a smaller, boutique-style hotel.
Turns out, it's a sizable, impressive establishment with two buildings: a main wing and an annex.
Hiyori as seen from Namba Parks
Since there were just two of us, I only searched for double rooms,
but I later discovered they have a huge variety of rooms, including spacious family rooms!
During check-in, I started speaking English right away,
only to realize there was a Korean staff member who could help me – a bit awkward! (Apparently, she's usually there in the evenings).
Proof of many guests: a pile of stored luggage!
In one corner of the lobby, welcome drinks are readily available,
and there's an impressive array of amenities to choose from, categorized by type. They even encouraged me to take as much as I needed, which instantly won me over before I even saw my room!
Pumpkins everywhere for Halloween season
I booked a Standard Twin Room in the hotel's newer wing.
A spacious 20 square meters!
Unlike many Japanese hotels where unfolding even one suitcase feels like a challenge,
I was thrilled to find there was ample space to open up two suitcases without feeling cramped.
Plus, with a table and chairs right next to the TV,
it was perfect for doing my makeup and enjoying some snacks.
Desk and TV chair in front of the window
There was a pretty big window,
and when I opened it, a cool breeze came in, revealing a high-rise view beyond, which prevented any feeling of stuffiness. I must have been tired, but the bed was so comfortable that I slept soundly until morning without waking up.
Why you don't need to pack pajamas: they're provided!
Perhaps because it's the new wing,
the bathroom was really clean.
Some reviews even said it was sparkling. Haha.
After a tiring day trip to Kyoto, I dissolved a bath bomb from the lobby in the tub and took a half-body bath, and all my fatigue melted away...
I'd give it a 10 for water pressure and cleanliness.
A Stay in Osaka Girls Will Love Even More
There's a lot to pack when you travel,
but if you know what's already provided, your suitcase can be much lighter.
Namba accommodation with a foot massager and even a hair straightener
Hair Straightener: It's provided in the room, so you don't need to worry about bringing a wireless one – just bring yourself!
Foot Massager: I was super tired after the Kyoto tour, but this thing was incredibly refreshing... Even my friend, who initially said she wouldn't try it, used it twice and fell into a deep sleep.
Fabric Refresher: My clothes smelled after eating okonomiyaki, so it was a relief to have the fabric refresher!
Thanks to all the amenities, you don't need to pack as much.
In the lobby, besides shampoo, conditioner, and body products, there were also bath bombs, mouthwash, toothbrushes, and even face masks – you could just freely take whatever you needed!
What's more, toner, lotion, cleansing oil, and cleansing foam were all provided, making me think that if you stayed here, you could worry less about luggage and more about shopping!
The price was about ~$35 more expensive than the hotel I stayed at the night before, but the room condition and bathroom cleanliness were definitely more to my liking, so I vowed not to be too stingy with money next time.
Skipped Breakfast, Definitely Went for the Late-Night Service!
There's a breakfast restaurant on the first floor,
open from 7 AM to 10 AM!
I saw reviews saying breakfast was delicious, and from the outside, it looked like a cafe with reasonable prices. It's ~$14 per person on-site, but if you book in advance, it's ~$21 for two, so if you plan to eat, opt for breakfast inclusive!
Sakimoto Bakery & Komeda Coffee
However, I had Komeda Coffee scheduled for my first stop and Sakimoto Bakery for my second in the morning, so I skipped it.
Happy Hour
From 7 PM to 9:30 PM,
there's a Happy Hour service where you can enjoy Ochazuke and Takoyaki for free. The Takoyaki was especially fun because it was a hands-on experience where guests could pour the batter and add toppings themselves.
You can make and eat Takoyaki.
When you visit Osaka, you'll be busy seeing the Glico Man in Dotonbori and shopping at Don Quijote and Kaldi, but I hope you don't miss Happy Hour! You can do as I did: eat first, then head to Dotonbori. Especially since Don Quijote is open 24 hours, there are no time limits.
Hiyori Namba Station Price Comparison
Hiyori Hotel Entrance
Osaka hotels often have significant price differences between weekdays and weekends,
and weekend bookings can fill up at lightning speed.
No exaggeration, as the image shows, even for weekdays in October, which is almost more than 2 months away, there are many bookings.
If you've set your travel dates, first check if your desired room type is available, and if possible, it's safer to book in advance with free cancellation!
Especially popular are the twin rooms with two single beds for two travelers,
and the family rooms for three or more travelers!

Usually, when booking accommodation for international travel, I tend to check Agoda or Trip.com,
but Agoda turned out to be cheaper.
