Hiroshima Airport Bus Guide 2026: Hiroshima Bus Center
Heading to Hiroshima Airport? Here is a step-by-step guide to finding the Hiroshima Bus Center, purchasing tickets, and boarding the limousine bus.

On the bittersweet final day of my trip, I headed over to the Hiroshima Bus Center to catch my ride back to the airport.
For first-time visitors, navigating this hub can be a little tricky. To make your departure completely stress-free, I've put together a comprehensive guide covering everything from how to find the Hiroshima Bus Center to buying tickets and boarding your bus.

If you search for "Hiroshima Bus Center" on Google Maps, several different locations might pop up, which can easily get confusing.
In fact, I saw a few Google reviews from stressed travelers who almost missed their flights because they got lost trying to find the entrance. Make sure you use the exact pin below!

How to Get to the Hiroshima Bus Center

Instead of wandering through the massive Sogo Department Store, I took a much simpler route: I entered directly through the ground-floor entrance located diagonally opposite the Montbell store.

This photo was taken right at the 1st-floor entrance across from Montbell.
The signage clearly points toward the "Bus Boarding Area," so even if you have zero sense of direction (like me!), you won't get lost.

Entering through this lower-level entrance leads you straight up to the ticketing counters and departure gates.
On the other hand, if you enter through the department store, you might end up in the arrivals area, which makes the layout much harder to navigate.

Before boarding, my biggest question was about payment methods.
I asked at the information desk, and they confirmed that you can use ICOCA, Suica, and contactless credit cards directly on the bus.
If you are using a contactless card (like Travel Wallet), simply tap when boarding. If you are paying for multiple people, just tell the driver "Kurejitto de onegaishimasu" (Credit card, please) and let them know how many passengers.

Personally, I decided to purchase a physical ticket at the ticket counter!

My flight was scheduled for 3:55 PM, and I caught the 12:55 PM bus.
The ride took exactly 1 hour. Hiroshima Airport is on the smaller side, meaning security and immigration are incredibly fast. If you have an afternoon flight, arriving 2 hours early is more than enough time to check in and relax.

Once you have your ticket in hand, step outside and you'll immediately see the platform directory signs.

Look for this pillar right outside the ticket office.
The airport limousine departs from Platform 2. Just follow the signs to the left for Platforms 1 through 7.

The bus usually pulls up about 5 minutes before departure. There is a comfortable indoor waiting area right across from the platform, and since it wasn't too crowded, there was no need to line up early.

When the bus arrives, you'll load your own luggage into the lower compartment.
I had one 24-inch suitcase and one 20-inch suitcase. There were no strict limits on weight or the number of bags, which was incredibly convenient.

As mentioned earlier, if you have an active transit card like ICOCA, Suica, or Pasmo, you can skip the ticketing machines entirely and tap your card directly when boarding.
When heading to Hiroshima Airport, taking the limousine bus is by far the most budget-friendly and convenient option compared to a pricey taxi ride.
Just remember to look for the entrance opposite the Montbell store, and your departure day will be smooth sailing. Safe travels!
