Hilton Hotel - Check-in

As expected from its city-center location,
the Hilton Hotel clearly stands right in the heart of town.
It's prominently located on the ground floor, making it easy to spot.

Stepping into the hotel lobby, a very spacious area unfolds
with a sophisticated interior.
The front desk is right in the center,
making check-in quick and easy.

After checking in and grabbing the key, it was straight up to the room!
The hallways were also clean and cozy.
Hilton Hotel - Accessible King Bed Room

Upon entering, the signature modern and
clean Hilton interior really stood out.
True to a 5-star hotel, the cleanliness was excellent, and the subtle
lighting created a very comfortable atmosphere.
The long sofa and temporary desk offering city views
made the stay very comfortable.
It was a great spot for two of us to sit side-by-side on the sofa
and enjoy a quick drink.

Four complimentary bottles of water were provided, which I really appreciated.
There's also a coffee machine, just so you know.

A bedroom radiating a cozy ambiance.
The generously sized king bed with its plush
mattress and pillows completely melted away our travel fatigue.
Having nightstands on both sides of the bed made charging our phones
incredibly convenient, too!
There was a door next to the bed, suggesting that connecting rooms might be available
if you're traveling with family.

Step into a sleek, marble-finished bathroom,
where the shower booth and vanity are thoughtfully separated, keeping everything sparkling clean.
And yes, all the essential amenities are there, ready for you.

While the bathroom was immaculately maintained,
if you're ever feeling a bit particular, I highly recommend a travel filter shower head!
(They're small, so super easy to carry around!)
Inside the closet, you'll find cozy slippers, a plush robe, and an ironing board.

After enjoying a meal at Sang Cheon Seafood, a must-try spot in Kota Kinabalu,
we packed up our leftovers
and even fresh fruits from the Filipino Market.
Enjoying them with a drink back at the hotel was absolutely perfect! 👍👍
What's great is that Sang Cheon Seafood is close to the Hilton,
and the Waterfront, Filipino Market, and Night Food Market
are all within easy walking distance, making everything so convenient!!
Hilton Hotel - Pool

Without a doubt, the signature highlight of Hilton Kota Kinabalu is
its breathtaking rooftop outdoor pool, perched on the highest floor!
Located right in the city center, it offers panoramic views of Kota Kinabalu's
cityscape and the expansive sky, all in one glance.

The pool was surprisingly long,
long enough for proper laps! Haha!
The water quality was excellent, and everything about it was satisfying.
With sunbeds dotted around the pool area,
it's the perfect spot to unwind with a refreshing drink or cocktail.
(Plenty of foreigners were soaking up the sun too!)
Hilton Hotel - Breakfast

Breakfast is served at Urban Kitchen, the main restaurant. You'll find a delightful variety of culinary sections, including Southeast Asian, Korean, Japanese, and Western dishes,
making it incredibly fun to choose from!
There's such a huge selection, you can truly pick and choose to your heart's content.
There was also a pho corner, but I personally skipped it as I'm not a huge fan.

Since it was morning, I just grabbed things that were easy to eat.
At the egg station, you can order eggs exactly how you like them!
The omelet quality was excellent, and it was absolutely delicious! 👍

The bakery selection was also incredibly extensive,
so I happily indulged in desserts too! Haha!
