After a relaxed weekend morning, tidying up the apartment, and grabbing a quick nap, my partner and I decided to head out for a much-needed cafe date. It’s always nice to carve out some time to work on our individual projects in a fresh environment!
Stepping out into Thao Dien on a Saturday afternoon, the district was buzzing. Trendy young people filled all the popular spots, and the energy was infectious.
We finally made our way to Hi! Juice, a smoothie cafe in Thao Dien that I'd been eager to try.

One of Hi! Juice's signature smoothies, the "Troi Oi," is a powerhouse of ingredients:
Banana, mango, avocado, medjool dates, Greek yogurt, almond milk, coconut water, blue magic powder, and a skin booster.
The Troi Oi costs ~$6 (plus tax).
Instead of refined sugar, the sweetness comes naturally from dates, bananas, and mangoes. The blue magic powder, derived from blue spirulina extract, acts as a natural colorant and a powerful superfood known for its antioxidant properties and fatigue-fighting benefits.
The "skin booster" is a nutritional powder added for skin health, typically a mix of collagen, Vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid, designed to hydrate and improve skin elasticity.
It feels less like a simple fruit smoothie and more like a drinkable beauty supplement you might find at a high-end wellness store, which definitely explains the premium price tag.
Much like the upscale wellness bars popping up in major cities globally, where premium smoothies can easily run upwards of ~$14, Hi! Juice in Thao Dien offers a similar high-quality, health-focused experience.
While certainly a splurge by Vietnamese standards, it’s comparable to similar health-focused cafes in Western countries, offering a range of healthy drinks and snacks like smoothies and acai bowls.

Initially, I almost walked out after seeing the small first floor, but then I discovered there was a second floor. And wow, the space upstairs is absolutely stunning!
I'd seen it highly recommended on social media, and now I understand why it's such a hit with international visitors and locals alike.
This is definitely a cafe I’d love to visit often.

Hi! Juice is a local Vietnamese brand with a few locations across Ho Chi Minh City.
It's clearly designed for expats and those embracing a wellness lifestyle in Thao Dien, offering organic and cold-pressed cleanse juices.

They offer a variety of smoothies, with the top five appearing to be their bestsellers.

There are also many types of acai bowls and a selection of coffee options.
The coffee is quite affordable; an Iced Americano is just ~$1 (plus tax).

The first floor houses the smoothie bar and a few small, informal tables.

The cafe's interior design is adorable, with soft green and rounded elements creating a playful vibe.

Before heading up to the second floor, you'll find a small but cute restroom.

And here's the second floor as you ascend the stairs.

We ordered an Iced Americano and a Super Food juice.
The Super Food juice is a pure, cold-pressed juice made from kale, celery, pineapple, lemon, and green apple.
It’s crafted purely from fruits and vegetables, with no added sugar or other ingredients.

The Super Food was ~$2 (plus tax) and contained 145 calories.
It was a bit disappointing that everything was served in disposable cups, even for dine-in. Next time, I'll definitely bring my reusable tumbler!

My Iced Americano was ~$1 (plus tax).

The Super Food juice was vibrant green and delightfully tangy. I finished it in about five minutes!
The portion size was a bit small for the price, which was a shame. The smoothies seem to come in larger cups, so next time I might opt for one of those instead.
I’ll definitely be back to try a smoothie or an acai bowl and will share my review!
The 'Troi Oi' smoothie contains banana, mango, avocado, dates, Greek yogurt, almond milk coconut water, blue magic powder, and a skin booster. The price is 149,000 VND, which is approximately ~$6, and VAT is separate.
