Discover Osaka's tallest skyscraper, Harukas 300 Observatory. This guide covers ticket prices, booking secrets, and how to get in free with the Kansai Joy Pass for your 2026 trip!

Towering above Osaka, the iconic and tallest observation deck is the incredible
Harukas 300 Observatory!
Join me as I share my personal experience, along with details on admission fees, booking methods,
and how to make the most of your Kansai Joy Pass for this breathtaking attraction.
From its impressive height of approximately 984 feet (300 meters), Harukas 300 Observatory offers
stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Osaka cityscape.
Honestly, I found the experience here even more captivating than the Umeda Floating Garden Observatory.
Getting to Harukas 300

📍 Harukas 300
1-chōme-1-43 Abenosuji, Abeno Ward, Osaka, 545-6016 Japan
You can reach Harukas 300 easily:
A mere 2-minute walk from Tennoji Station
Approximately a 6-minute walk from Abeno Station
Once inside the building, you'll spot large signs for Harukas, so finding your way won't be a challenge.

Take the elevator up to the 16th floor, where you can collect your tickets
and ascend to the main observation decks.
Operating hours are 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
Last entry is typically 30 minutes before closing.
If you're planning a visit around sunset, I recommend checking the sunset times in advance to catch those magical golden hour views.
Booking & Prices for Harukas 300

On-site tickets for adults are 2,000 JPY, which converts to approximately ~$14. This can be quite expensive, so booking in advance is a smart move for both savings and quicker entry.

I personally used the Kansai Joy Pass and enjoyed free admission.
While the Osaka Amazing Pass only offers a 10% discount here,
the Kansai Joy Pass provides free entry with no time restrictions.
If your Osaka itinerary includes visiting many city attractions, I highly recommend opting for the Kansai Joy Pass over the Osaka Amazing Pass.

My Harukas 300 Observatory Experience

After gaining entry, we hopped into the elevator to the 60th-floor observation deck.
It ascends incredibly fast, so don't be surprised if your ears pop!

Stepping out, the expansive views were truly breathtaking, offering an incredible sense of openness.
While the Umeda Floating Garden Observatory charms with its outdoor feel and unique architecture,
Harukas 300 shines with its sheer height and the overwhelming city panorama it provides.

I visited on a slightly cloudy day, which was a bit of a bummer, but I could still clearly see Osaka's sprawling buildings.
On a clear day, they say you can even spot Kyoto in the distance!

There are comfortable seating areas where you can relax and take in the views,
though they tend to fill up quickly!

You'll also find a photo zone where staff can take your picture. A small, black-and-white print is free, but a larger, color photo comes with a fee.

If you're traveling with luggage or heavy bags, lockers are available for convenient storage.

On your way out, you'll descend floor by floor using the escalators.

On the 58th floor, you'll find a cafe and restaurant. The open-air ceiling here creates an even more expansive and enjoyable atmosphere than the fully enclosed 60th floor.

This area offers more seating and a more relaxed vibe than the 60th floor. Even if you're not planning to eat, it's a great spot to sit back and unwind.

With a variety of snacks and drinks available, grabbing a seat and enjoying the Osaka skyline from here is a fantastic idea.

If you crave an outdoor feel and unique architectural charm,
the Umeda Floating Garden Observatory is a great choice.
However, if you're looking for the most commanding city views from Osaka's highest point,
Harukas 300 Observatory is highly recommended.
It's a perfect addition to an Osaka itinerary that includes Tennoji, Tsutenkaku, and Shinsekai, offering a truly memorable perspective of the city!
