🇯🇵 Osaka, Japan
Harukas 300 Observatory
If I had to recommend just one must-visit spot
for your Osaka itinerary,
the Harukas 300 Observatory would absolutely be it.
Towering nearly 984 feet above ground, it offers a breathtaking 360-degree
panoramic view of the entire city.
Because it's an indoor observatory, you don't have to worry about the weather,
and trust me, the night view is simply spectacular...🥹
In this guide, I'll cover everything from locations and directions
to advance ticket booking, free entry with passes, and my honest review.
Here is your ultimate guide to Harukas 300!~⭐️
Operating Hours: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM (Last entry 9:30 PM)

Harukas 300 is directly connected to
Tennoji Station, meaning you can walk straight there without stepping outside.
You can easily reach "Tennoji" Station via multiple subway lines,
including the Midosuji, Yamatoji, and Tanimachi lines,
making the subway the most convenient way to get there.

Just follow the [HARUKAS 300] signs,
take the elevator up to the 16th-floor ticket counter
to purchase or exchange your tickets,
and then ride the dedicated elevator straight up
to the 60th-floor Harukas 300 Observatory.

1️⃣ Advance Single Ticket Booking
2️⃣ Free Entry with Kansai Joy Pass

While you can purchase Harukas 300 tickets
at the door,
you'll have to pay the full price of 2,000 JPY (about ~$14)
and likely waste precious vacation time waiting in line.
To save both time and money, I highly recommend booking in advance!
There are
2 main ways to book in advance. Each has its pros and cons,
so check them out and pick the one that fits your itinerary best 👀
※ Note: If you have the Osaka Amazing Pass,
you can show it at the counter for a 10% discount on same-day tickets.
1️⃣ Advance Single Ticket Booking
*Prices may fluctuate slightly based on real-time exchange rates.*
Trip.com | Klook | MyRealTrip |
~$11 | ~$12 | ~$13 |
You can book through the official website,
but you'll be paying the full retail price, just like buying at the door.
However, by using the platforms above,
you can score discounted tickets for much less 😎
Booking is confirmed instantly, so you can
literally buy it on your phone and use it right away.
Thanks to current promotions,
Trip.com is currently offering the lowest price, but rates can change,
so be sure to compare and grab the best deal!
2️⃣ Free Entry with Kansai Joy Pass

If you're planning a broader trip across Osaka and Kyoto,
the Kansai Joy Pass is an absolute steal that will
help you maximize your travel budget—and it includes free entry to Harukas.
Simply show your QR code at the ticket counter,
exchange it for a physical ticket, and you're good to go!
It's incredibly easy to use,
and there are no specific time restrictions.

The standard Kansai Joy Pass
is currently on sale on Klook for about ~$30,
giving you access to 3 different attraction benefits over a week.
① Harukas 300 Observatory / approx. ~$14 value
② Umeda Sky Building / approx. ~$14 value
③ Solaniwa Onsen / approx. ~$16 value
If you mix and match 3 premium attractions like famous observatories, hot springs, or cruises,
the pass easily pays for itself, making it a highly recommended option 😉

‼️ Pro tip: Apply Klook discount codes at checkout
to drop the price even lower than ~$30!

I've traveled to Osaka three times now,
and the awe of seeing the city's night skyline never fades.
That's why Harukas 300 makes the cut on every single trip...🥹
In the past, I didn't know about the discounted single tickets,
so I used the Osaka Amazing Pass for a 10% discount.
But on my most recent trip, I got in for free using the Kansai Joy Pass!
I simply showed my pass's QR code at the 16th-floor counter,
exchanged it for a physical ticket, and headed right up.

Sunset: 4:53 PM / Entry Time: 4:33 PM
Since I usually only visit for the night view,
I decided to arrive a bit earlier this time to catch the sunset.
To be completely honest, it might have been because it was slightly cloudy,
but the sunset didn't totally blow me away...!
(I actually prefer the sunset view from the Umeda Sky Building.)

However,
once the sun goes down, the real magic begins.
Because you're nearly 1,000 feet up,
you truly feel like you're floating above the sprawling metropolis.
For Osaka night views, Harukas is undoubtedly #1...👍

Every single angle of the 360-degree view is stunning.
But if I had to recommend the best spot for photos,
look for the sections overlooking the major highways!
The contrast of the glowing roads cutting through the dark buildings is absolutely mesmerizing ✨
As you walk around the perimeter,
you'll also stumble upon a section with a transparent glass floor.
It adds a totally different thrill to the experience, so definitely snap a picture there 😉

One of the biggest perks of Harukas 300 is that it's an
indoor observatory, making it incredibly comfortable, especially during winter trips.
Thanks to the climate control, I didn't have to shiver in the cold
and was able to spend a cozy 1.5 hours leisurely soaking in
the dazzling night skyline ☺️✨

For reference, the 59th floor houses the souvenir shop,
while the 58th floor features a beautiful open-air garden, a cafe, and a dining bar.
If you want to linger and enjoy the view a bit longer,
grabbing a drink down there is highly recommended.
