So, you've booked your flights for Yantai? Awesome! Next up, finding the perfect place to stay, right?

When I was picking out a place in Yantai, I actually got turned away at check-in once!

Ultimately, I found a great spot near Golden Beach, a place with an excellent location, costing around ~$15 per night.

I'll share my personal review of where I stayed, plus some other top hotel recommendations that are popular with Korean travelers!

When you're choosing accommodation in Yantai, you'll discover such a diverse range of hotels, from their pricing to the services they offer.

As I was on a longer trip, I was definitely hunting for the best value. That's why I opted for the Haimian Comfort Hotel.

Beyond just the price, location is absolutely key, don't you think? So, let's dive straight into the travel times from this spot.

It's about a 45-minute drive from Yantai's three most iconic attractions: Penglai Pavilion, Sanxian Mountain, and Baxian Crossing the Sea. Plus, the airport is only about 30 minutes away.

Given my longer trip, the Pullman Hotel's price felt a bit steep, so Haimian was the perfect fit.

2. Haimian Comfort Hotel Review

The Haimian Comfort Hotel is actually an apartment-style accommodation.

As for the local amenities, there's a Korean supermarket and a regular market right on the first floor, and I noticed quite a few Korean restaurants in the vicinity, too!

Check-in for the hotel was on the 5th floor, and the owner was incredibly helpful, communicating thoughtfully with a translation app.

The room I booked was the High-Floor Emerald Ocean View Room.

Just like the room's name implies, being on a high floor means

The expansive windows offered such a wonderful sense of openness.

And that ocean view? It stretched all the way to Golden Sand Beach in the distance.

The bed's mattress felt like zero-gravity,

so it was incredibly plush, yet my back didn't ache at all.

The power outlets were multi-functional,

compatible with Korean plugs, so no need to worry about bringing an adapter!

What truly impressed me was being able to book such a spacious accommodation

for around ~$15 a night! The sheer size of the room meant it never felt cramped or stuffy.

There's even a small table, perfect for catching up on work with your laptop

or enjoying a quick bite.

There was also plenty of hangers and storage space.

And the coffee pot and refrigerator were meticulously

cleaned and maintained, which put my mind at ease.

Given this was a budget-friendly stay, I was slightly concerned about the bathroom,

but it was spotlessly clean, no water stains or mold in sight!

The meticulous upkeep really put me at ease.

The shower towels and regular towels weren't disposable either, which was a nice touch.

And the amenities? More than enough to keep you comfortable.

The bathroom and shower were completely separate areas,

meaning the showering space and toilet were neatly divided,

which made my entire stay so much more comfortable.

The moment I saw the sparkling clean bathroom,

I knew I had made an excellent choice with this hotel.

If you're on a long-term trip to Yantai, just like me,

this spot offers incredible value for your stay.

For your reference, even though this was a 2-star hotel,

it surprisingly had an automatic residence registration system in place.

If I needed anything, I could easily communicate with the owner via WeChat,

which made things incredibly convenient and hassle-free.

This Yantai accommodation truly delivered on all fronts:

It felt like it checked all three boxes perfectly: price, location, and condition.

Being right by Golden Sand Beach, it offered easy access to the airport

and convenient travel to Penglai tourist attractions. For around ~$15 a night, I got a spacious room with an ocean view – what a deal!

The automatic residence registration was seamlessly handled,

making check-in an absolute breeze.
