Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area

The Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area is a grand traditional garden attraction inspired by ancient Chinese mythology. It's themed around the three immortal mountains: Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou.
This isn't a place for strenuous mountain climbing; instead, it's more like an **expansive artificial garden where lakes, pavilions, towers, and palace-style buildings harmoniously blend.**
I highly recommend it for anyone who loves taking photos against traditional Chinese architecture or enjoys a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens. It's also located directly across from the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea (Baxian Guohai) scenic spot, so planning a visit to both on the same day is a great idea.

My Honest Review of Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area

The Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area is truly massive inside. They even offered paid buggy rentals, which is a great option if you're traveling with elderly parents or just want to cover more ground without getting tired.

From the moment I entered, the grand architecture immediately caught my eye, exuding that distinctive Chinese splendor.

Because the interior is so vast, modern buildings were completely out of sight, making me feel as if I had stepped into a historical Chinese drama. Traditional Pipa music drifted through the air, making it easy to imagine a classical beauty from a period film playing the instrument somewhere nearby.

There are so many picturesque spots throughout the area, so if you love taking photos, this place is highly recommended!

Given its enormous scale, you should plan for about 3-4 hours to explore at a relaxed pace. Just remember that the last entry is at 4:00 PM, so be sure to factor that into your schedule!

If you're a fan of Chinese historical dramas or enjoy photography, I definitely recommend visiting the Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area! Remember, purchasing your tickets in advance is cheaper than buying them on-site, so make sure to grab them at least the day before your visit!
