My Honest Review of Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea

After showing my ticket, the first thing I saw upon entering was the Eight Immortals Bridge (Palsonggyo) and a sign proudly announcing its status as a China 5A tourist attraction.

Crossing the Palsonggyo leads you into the main tourist area. Since the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea is located directly over the ocean, there were so many seagulls flying around!
Just a heads-up: watch your head as you cross the bridge!

As soon as I stepped onto the bridge, I was surrounded by buildings with a distinctly Chinese feel, showcasing intricate designs and vibrant colors.

True to Chinese architectural style, the buildings were incredibly ornate and colorful, creating a beautiful contrast against the deep blue sea.

On a clear day, the vivid colors of the buildings really pop against the azure ocean, making it a perfect spot for photography. I highly recommend visiting Penglai during the daytime to fully appreciate its beauty!

Further inside, I was surprised to find some adorable seals! It was such an unexpected and delightful encounter.
There were even opportunities for seal feeding and photo ops, but it was incredibly hot during my visit, so I decided to skip those activities.

You'll also find small snack shops and souvenir stores scattered throughout, adding to the fun of exploring.

Climbing up to Huixian Pavilion (Hoeseongak) reveals a panoramic view of the entire Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea area. The sea breeze at the top was wonderfully refreshing!
Huixian Pavilion has six floors, and if you have the energy, ascending to the top is definitely worth it for the incredible vistas!

There are plenty of picturesque spots for photos throughout the attraction.
Overall, you can comfortably explore Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea in about 2 to 3 hours.

You'll find beautiful sculptures, incense burning areas, and serene spots to relax and enjoy the ocean views. It's a wonderful place to take your time, explore, and capture some great memories.
For your Yantai trip, I highly recommend visiting the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, China's impressive 5A tourist attraction!
Remember, if you book your tickets at least a day in advance, you can often get a better deal than purchasing on-site, so it's a smart move to buy them ahead of time.
