It’s been a while since my son and I went on a resort getaway, and since we were heading to Hoi An, the quality of the hotel breakfast was a top priority for us.
In my previous post, I focused on the room conditions and pool at the Grand Signature Resort Hoi An.
The breakfast spread was so impressive that it deserved its own detailed review!

To give you the short version: the balance between authentic local Vietnamese dishes and Western classics was fantastic.
It made for a highly satisfying morning meal.
Let me walk you through everything from the buffet hours to the full menu breakdown.

Breakfast Hours & Atmosphere

Maybe it was the incredibly comfortable mattress, but I slept deeply and woke up early.
Walking to the dining area with my son felt like a peaceful morning stroll—the resort's ambiance is just that beautiful.

This is the breakfast restaurant at Grand Signature Resort by M Village Hoi An.
We went around 7:30 AM, and it was wonderfully quiet.

🕰️ Hours
6:30 AM ~ 10:30 AM
As with any resort, arriving early guarantees a much more relaxed dining experience.

True to its 5-star rating, the dining hall is massive with excellent spacing between tables.
It actually feels even more luxurious and upscale in person than in the photos.

Every seating area is thoughtfully designed, and the natural lighting is fantastic.
The window seats offer a lovely peek at the pool, instantly giving you that excited vacation feeling! :)

The AC kept the space perfectly cool, and the staff greeted us with bright, welcoming smiles.
They were incredibly prompt with clearing plates and provided top-notch service throughout our meal.
Menu Review & Highlights

The buffet spread is extensive, striking a perfect balance between local Vietnamese flavors and Western favorites.

Sometimes buffets have a lot of items but nothing you actually want to eat—that wasn't the case here.
Everything looked appetizing and practical!

I had read reviews praising their bakery section, and it definitely lived up to the hype.
The croissants and donuts were incredibly soft, and there was a great variety of pastries.

They also had a generous selection of spreads: strawberry jam, blueberry jam, peanut butter, Nutella, and honey.
Picking and choosing was half the fun! Haha.

The DIY Banh Mi station was fully stocked with fresh ingredients so you could build your perfect Vietnamese sandwich.
The baguettes were so authentic and crispy that my son and I ended up making a second one to share.

The hot food section featured roasted vegetables, perfectly seasoned sausages, bacon, and more.
They also offered various rice dishes, making it a very family-friendly spread that would appeal to travelers of all ages.
(I took so many photos, but I still missed a few things!)

The salad bar, cheeses, canapés, and fresh fruits were all vibrant and abundant.
They also offered a variety of local Vietnamese sauces, all clearly labeled in English, which made exploring new flavors completely stress-free.

And personally, their yogurt was exactly my style! Haha!

The hot kitchen station is prominently located toward the back.
It sits right across from the beverage station.

Speaking of beverages, there were over six types of juices and vitamin waters.
Plus, four varieties of coffee and tea are available.

You can even make your own traditional Vietnamese iced coffee, and they provide several types of milk.
You absolutely must try making a condensed milk coffee (Ca Phe Sua Da).
It is seriously delicious! :)

With a made-to-order Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) station and an egg station, the breakfast left nothing to be desired.
The overall food temperature and hygiene were excellent, which gave me great peace of mind traveling with my son.
Buffet Tips & Tricks

As it gets past 8:00 AM, the restaurant starts to fill up, and the live cooking stations get a bit busy.

I highly recommend ordering your omelets or Pho first before grabbing your other items.
Since we went early, my omelet was ready in no time without any wait. :)

My son kept going back for seconds, saying it was one of the best hotel breakfasts he's had recently.
The fact that the menu caters so well to both kids and adults is a massive plus.
Currently, in 2026, you can book a room at the Grand Signature Resort Hoi An for around ~$77 per night.
It offers incredible value for a luxury staycation, so if you're planning a trip to Hoi An, I highly recommend checking it out.

Agoda currently has a special anniversary sale, so the prices are even lower right now!

From the overall resort facilities down to the exceptional breakfast, this was the perfect getaway.
The fact that the morning menu at Grand Signature Hoi An was filled with things we actually wanted to eat made it even better.
This is definitely a place I'd love to revisit—my son and I are already talking about our next trip back! :)
