If you're still pondering which resort to choose in Da Nang or Hoi An,
where the soothing views instantly transport you to Bali's Ubud,
and offers complimentary daily spa massages,
I'd love to recommend this new wellness sanctuary.
When most people visit Da Nang, Vietnam,
they often remark they can't tell if they're in Korea or Vietnam,
so much so that the playful nickname 'Gyeonggi-do Da Nang City' (referring to a province in Korea) has become incredibly familiar.
However, the place I experienced this time
was truly different.
Even among the top recommendations for new resorts in Hoi An,
it's still a hidden gem, less known to Korean travelers,
a real hidden gem, if you ask me!
It just opened in 2024, so naturally, it's pristine,
and since it occupies the entire small island of Kon Ba Xa on the Thu Bon River,
as an exclusive 5-star wellness resort with private pool villas,
for babymoons, couples' trips,
or multi-generational travel, this place is simply unmatched.
The moment I stepped into the room, I instantly thought, 'Is this truly Da Nang or Hoi An?'
'Isn't this Ubud, Bali?' I couldn't help but exclaim,
a place that truly demonstrated the meaning of authentic relaxation.
It's the kind of place where you naturally say,
'It's wonderful just staying here at the resort!'
I'm about to unpack my genuine review of this amazing spot.

I chose the Nipa Pool Villa 1-Bedroom,
which offered a wonderfully private ambiance.
Just like its name suggests, the outdoor pool featured
a lush forest view dense with nipa palm trees,
and it truly felt as if a luxurious resort from Bali's Ubud
had been perfectly recreated right here.
The high ceilings provided a fantastic sense of spaciousness,
and combined with the warm brown wood interior and
the verdant view outside the window, every snapshot turned into a picture-perfect 'life shot'!
Furthermore, the private pool, solely for our use,
was quite expansive, making it incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.
The water quality was excellent,
and lounging on the sunbed, I felt like I had nothing to envy in the world... pure bliss.
And get this – the mini-bar is completely free!
You can indulge in the pure bliss of a complimentary mini-bar,
refilled daily with sparkling water, Coke, calamansi drinks,
and even dried mango and cashews!
A delightful welcome dessert was also waiting for us,
and I definitely savored every bite! ><
You'll find large-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash,
and even the option to attach a shower filter!
Shower caps, combs, toothpaste, and toothbrushes were also thoughtfully provided.
A cute rattan bag (which can also be used as a backpack!),
rattan slippers, bathrobes, a hairdryer, a safe, and even an umbrella!
My only regret?
The jacuzzi in the room was absolutely stunning,
and during the evening turndown service, they even left beautiful flowers
for a relaxing half-bath... but I ran out of time and couldn't enjoy it! ㅠㅠ
At least I managed to snap some photos! :)
When reviewing the Hoi An Namia River Retreat Pool Villa,
one thing you absolutely cannot skip mentioning
is the incredible Lumina Spa.
This isn't just any massage parlor;
they run a professional wellness program.
All guests receive a complimentary daily massage,
which includes a 30-minute Hammam scrub
+ a 60-minute traditional spa therapy,
totaling an incredible 90-minute wellness package!
The Hammam was a completely new experience for me!
You lie on a warm, comfortable bed and receive full-body care
with their handmade natural scrubs.
With plenty of steam and the scrub, your skin feels unbelievably smooth afterward!
This complimentary spa for all guests is a huge reason to book Namia Retreat,
but don't make the mistake of thinking it's a basic service just because it's free!
The professional therapists' touch was absolutely incredible.
Truly, a 5-star resort spa is on another level entirely!
They don't cut corners at all –
honestly, it was hands down the best massage I've ever had in my entire life.
I loved the massage so much that
I even took a photo of my therapist! 😉

You can visit Hoi An Old Town by taking advantage of their sunset cruise,
which operates daily at 5:30 PM!
While enjoying cocktails and finger foods,
you can also enjoy the sunset over the Thu Bon River.
The resort is so sprawling that while you can get around by buggy car,
riding the complimentary bicycles
and exploring the resort that way is an experience in itself.
With not only an infinity pool, but also a kids' pool and kids' club,
there's a diverse range of facilities.
and even yoga classes and a sauna,
it was truly the perfect place to fully enjoy
a wellness hotel retreat.
We had breakfast at the Merchant Restaurant,
and it was seriously a hidden gem!
Not only was the standard buffet excellent, but you could also
freely order à la carte dishes right at your table.
The Banh Xeo was incredibly crispy and delicious,
and the pho was absolutely amazing.
And make sure not to skip any of the three types of yogurt –
seriously, try them all! They're genuinely delicious.
What's truly special here is that the ingredients
are 100% eco-friendly vegetables, grown right within the resort grounds.
How amazing is that?
Order coffee, and they'll bring it right to your table!
With a wide variety of dishes, and flavors that pleased our palate perfectly,
we definitely cleared our plates, bright and early!
Alright, let's talk about the all-important price!
While this is a strong recommendation for a new Hoi An resort,
I completely understand that the price might make you pause.
But what if there was a way to book it for
significantly less than Agoda?
For the exact same conditions, there's quite a significant price difference!

If I had to sum up my experience at the Hoi An Namia River Retreat Pool Villa in one sentence,
it's genuinely a place where you'll feel that
every penny was worth it.
While a night might seem like ~$345,
when you consider two people enjoying a 90-minute luxury spa,
a cruise, delicious meals, and all the pool villa delights,
it's absolutely incredible value!
A dedicated butler even escorts you to your room for check-in,
and thoughtfully holds an umbrella over you... now that's service!
Since the entire island is dedicated to the resort, there's virtually no outside noise.
It's highly recommended for anyone craving pure relaxation in a tranquil setting, away from the crowds,
perfect for a special trip for your parents,
a memorable couple's anniversary, or a blissful babymoon.
I couldn't recommend it more!
Be the smartest traveler and book your trip at the absolute lowest price!
Even if the price seems a bit higher at first glance,
if you weigh the benefits, you'll actually find it offers excellent value for money!
