If you are searching for the perfect date spot in Sejong City, one name always tops the list: the Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge (also known as Eungdari).

However, after visiting it myself, I realized that your experience can vary wildly depending on the time of day you visit and which entrance you choose.

When I was getting ready to move to Sejong, I visited Eungdari for the first time.

I initially planned for a casual daytime stroll, but the scorching sun and lack of shade cut my walk short, leaving me a bit disappointed.

But once I officially settled in Sejong and revisited the bridge at night, it felt like an entirely different world.

My first visit to Eungdari was right before my move to Sejong. Back then, I used the Boram-dong entrance.

The bridge features a unique double-decker structure: the 1st floor is a dedicated path for bicycles, while the 2nd floor is reserved exclusively for pedestrians.

While the second floor offers a stunning, unobstructed view of the Geumgang River, there is almost no shade. Walking here under the intense summer sun felt like being under a magnifying glass.

We ambitiously started walking with the intention of completing the full loop, but the heat got the best of us, and we had to turn back early.

However, returning to Eungdari at night after moving here was a complete game-changer.

Once the sun set and the lights flickered on, the circular bridge began to glow softly over the Geumgang River. The cool breeze blowing off the water made the walk incredibly refreshing.

The romantic ambiance immediately made me realize why this is such a highly recommended date spot. If you are planning a trip here, I highly recommend visiting after sunset.

Now that I live in Sejong, I always use the Sejong-dong entrance when visiting the Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge.

Having tried both entrances, I noticed they have very different vibes.

The Boram-dong Entrance is close to Sejong City Hall and commercial districts, meaning it's highly accessible and popular with local residents out for a casual walk.

On the other hand, the Sejong-dong Entrance has a dedicated parking lot, making it the preferred choice for visitors driving in from other areas.

The parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate—even for beginner drivers like myself—and best of all, parking is completely free. For a relaxed evening date, I highly recommend starting from the Sejong-dong side.

At the Sejong-dong entrance, you'll find the Skywalk Observatory which leads to the upper viewing platform.

The stairs are quite steep and high, which made me feel a bit dizzy, and it was definitely a workout to climb up.

However, despite the effort, I highly recommend making the climb.

From the top of the Skywalk, you get a breathtaking, panoramic view of the circular Eungdari Bridge, the Geumgang River, and the glittering city skyline of Boram-dong.

The glowing ring of lights reflecting on the river looks far more stunning in person than in any photo. It is hands-down the most memorable night view I've seen in Sejong so far (even though I still have many places left to explore!).

After descending from the observatory, we took a leisurely walk around the bridge.

Because of its circular design, you're constantly walking forward, yet the scenery changes with every step.

It was fascinating to watch the city lights of Boram-dong shift from our left to our right as we walked.

Along the path, there are plenty of benches and tables to rest, as well as fun interactive installations like giant xylophones and swings, making it a great spot for families with kids as well.

Whether you're on a romantic date or a family outing, the bridge has something for everyone. It took my husband and me about 40 minutes to complete the full circle at a relaxed pace while chatting and taking photos.

At just under a mile, it's the perfect distance for a light, breezy walk.
