Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge Sejong Review: Best Night View

If you are looking for the perfect romantic date spot in Sejong, one of the first places recommended to you will be the Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge (also known as Eung Bridge).

However, after visiting it myself, I realized that your experience can vary drastically depending on when you visit and which entrance you choose.

I first visited Eung Bridge in 2026 when I was preparing to move to Sejong.

At that time, I went for a casual daytime stroll, but the intense summer sun and lack of shade made it almost impossible to stay long. I had to turn back with a bit of disappointment.

But once I officially moved to Sejong and returned at night, it felt like a completely different world!

In this post, I will share my personal tips, from parking guides and night-view spots to the actual walking time, so you can plan the perfect Sejong night out.

For my first visit, I entered through the Boram-dong side.

Eung Bridge features a unique double-decker structure: the first floor is dedicated exclusively to bicycles, while the second floor is a dedicated pedestrian walkway.

The second-floor walkway offers stunning, unobstructed views of the Geumgang River, but because there is virtually no shade, you will be fully exposed to the direct sunlight on a hot day.

I initially planned to walk the entire loop, but the daytime heat was simply too intense, forcing me to cut my walk short.

However, Eung Bridge at night is a completely different story.

Once the sun goes down and the lights flicker on, the circular structure glowing softly over the Geumgang River is absolutely magical. Coupled with the refreshing river breeze, it becomes the ultimate spot for a comfortable evening stroll.

Experiencing this romantic atmosphere made me instantly realize why so many locals recommend this as a top date spot in Sejong. If you are planning a visit, I highly recommend coming after sunset.

When I returned to the bridge after moving to Sejong, I chose to park at the Sejong-dong entrance. It turns out the two main entrances have completely different vibes.

The Boram-dong Entrance is close to Sejong City Hall and commercial districts, making it popular for local residents and pedestrians.

On the other hand, the Sejong-dong Entrance has a dedicated parking lot, making it the go-to choice for visitors arriving by car.

The parking lot at the Sejong-dong entrance is incredibly spacious and easy to navigate—even for beginner drivers. Best of all, parking is completely free! If you are driving here for a night date, Sejong-dong is definitely the side you want to aim for.

Right at the Sejong-dong entrance, you will find the Skywalk, which leads up to the elevated observation deck.

The stairs are surprisingly steep and high, which might feel a little daunting as you climb, but I promise the effort is absolutely worth it.

From the top of the Skywalk observatory, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of the circular Eung Bridge, the shimmering Geumgang River, and the glittering city lights of Boram-dong.

The glowing circular bridge reflecting on the water looks infinitely more beautiful in person than in any photo. It is easily one of the most memorable night views I have experienced in Sejong so far!

After coming down from the observatory, we took a leisurely walk around the bridge. Because of its circular design, even though you are walking in a straight line, the scenery changes constantly.

It was fascinating to watch the skyline of Boram-dong shift from our left to our right as we made our way around.

Along the way, there are plenty of benches and tables to rest at, as well as fun little interactive features like outdoor xylophones and see-saws. It is a wonderful space that accommodates both couples looking for romance and families out with children.

Walking at a relaxed pace, taking photos, and chatting, it took us about 40 minutes to complete the full loop. It is the perfect distance for a light, breezy walk.
