Gobok Reservoir's Today's Happy Cafe: Mango Shaved Ice & Lakeside Walks
Discover Today's Happy Cafe near Gobok Reservoir, a charming spot perfect for delicious mango shaved ice and easy access to lakeside walks, even without a direct reservoir view. Enjoy great parking and quirky decor!
When you're searching for a cafe around Gobok Reservoir, you'll find a pretty diverse selection.
From cafes with stunning reservoir views to those renowned for their coffee, and even places perfect for indulging in delicious desserts – the choices are endless.
The cafe I visited this time, Today's Happy, wasn't one of those spots where you could see Gobok Reservoir from inside.

Instead, it boasted convenient parking, a location close to Gobok Reservoir, and a beautiful interior where you could savor a delightful dessert before heading out for a relaxing stroll by the water.
If you're like me and want to combine a Gobok Reservoir outing with a cafe visit into one seamless experience, keep this place in mind!
To be honest, Today's Happy wasn't my first choice.
I initially headed to Byseoyu, which I'd seen on YouTube, but when I arrived, there wasn't a single seat available.

So, I decided to try another time and, right there, searched for other Gobok Reservoir cafes. That's how I stumbled upon Today's Happy.
The interior vibe in the photos really caught my eye, and it was close to Gobok Reservoir, so we made our way over immediately.

Today's Happy has a spacious parking area right in front of the cafe, so we had no trouble finding a spot when we visited.
However, it's important to note: this is NOT a Gobok Reservoir view cafe.
If sipping coffee while gazing at the reservoir from a window is a must-have for you, then you might want to compare it with other Gobok Reservoir cafes.

The overall interior of Today's Happy was a lovely blend of white and wood. With lush green plants and rattan lighting, it created an atmosphere I absolutely adored.

But if you look closely, you'll spot little monkey dolls hanging here and there. It's like a touch of playful humor mixed into the stylish decor.
A dash of quirky charm blended with the aesthetic interior.

Near the ordering counter, there was even a sign that read 'No pretending to be full!' These whimsical elements made the cafe even more memorable.

Today's Happy is famous for its soufflés and shaved ice (bingsu). We decided to order the Fresh Mango Shaved Ice. The mango bingsu cost ~$14!

The Fresh Mango Shaved Ice was topped with thinly sliced mango, making it easy to scoop up smoothly with the ice. The mango itself was incredibly refreshing and sweet – absolutely delicious.

Perhaps it tasted even better because we enjoyed it during the height of summer.

After finishing our shaved ice, we headed over to Gobok Reservoir.

My husband and I took a leisurely walk along the deck path. Since Today's Happy and Gobok Reservoir are so close, it’s the perfect combination: enjoy dessert at the cafe, then take a peaceful walk by the reservoir.

Therefore, Today's Happy is probably a better fit for those seeking a Gobok Reservoir cafe with easy parking, or a spot where you can enjoy dessert and then seamlessly transition into a lovely walk, rather than those prioritizing a direct reservoir view.
It was a serendipitous discovery, but we had a fantastic time enjoying the refreshing mango shaved ice and a pleasant stroll around Gobok Reservoir.
