Fusion Original Saigon Centre Review 2026: Ho Chi Minh's 5-Star Gem

As it was my first trip to Ho Chi Minh City,

I was looking for a clean and convenient hotel close to major tourist attractions when I discovered

the Fusion Original Saigon Centre!

I was particularly drawn to the fact that it was newly built in 2022 and that the mini-bar and fruits were provided for free,

making it the hotel I ultimately chose after much deliberation.

Perhaps that's why it boasts an impressive 4.8 rating on Google Maps!

Lobby View

The Fusion Original Saigon Centre hotel is located within the Saigon Centre department store.

Even if you set the destination as the hotel, Uber drivers often have trouble finding it,

or they might just drop you off near the mall.

So, it's best to pinpoint the back entrance of the shopping mall as your destination.

Check-in: 3 PM

Check-out: 12 PM

Once you find the hotel entrance inside the shopping mall,

you can check in right away.

My travel companion arrived first and checked in, and I checked in separately later.

However, they said they were short on card keys due to a rush of guests and asked us to use just one, which was a bit surprising.

Guest rooms are on floors 15-24,

and the pool and gym are located on the 6th floor.

Note that they don't bring your luggage to your room separately!

Complimentary Mini-bar & Free Mini-bar

Available on every floor (8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 2:00 PM–8:00 PM), refilled daily

One of the great perks of the Fusion Original Saigon Centre hotel is its mini-bar~

On every floor, you'll find not only a microwave, coffee machine, ice dispenser, and tea bags,

but also complimentary cookies or fruit.

Just note that it's not 24 hours; they tidy up outside of the 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM windows.

It was perfect for grabbing some cookies and fruit in the morning to enjoy as a late-night snack.

I don't have a photo, but all the beverages in the in-room fridge are also complimentary!​

They offer a variety, including two cans of water, beer, Coca-Cola, and Fanta.

Deluxe King Room

Seeing my name displayed on the TV was a small but delightful touch.

Immediately to the left upon entering, you'll find a wardrobe and luggage rack, among other things.

Two cans of water are provided.

Since there's an ice dispenser just outside, it wasn't a major inconvenience.

It was my first time traveling to Vietnam, and what stood out to me was

how genuinely dedicated they are to tea and coffee.

The bed was quite spacious, and with sofas placed around, it was very comfortable to stay in.

When you open the curtains, the panoramic view of Ho Chi Minh City unfolds before you,

so you won't even feel like you missed out on seeing the night view separately.

With Ben Thanh Market just 300m away and Ho Chi Minh Square 600m away,

this accommodation boasts a truly fantastic location!

The television can be angled to the side,

making it comfortable to watch even from the sofa.

Additionally, they provide a Marshall Bluetooth speaker, a work desk, and more!

Outlets are available on both sides of the bed, making charging convenient.

Room Service - Fruit Platter

This is the fruit platter we ordered via room service.

I can't quite recall the exact price, but it was reasonable, and the sweetness was great!

Bathroom

The toilet, shower, and sink are all separated by sliding doors.

Perhaps it's the power of the woody interior, but I loved how it felt subtly classic yet modern.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash amenities are generously provided in refillable containers, with other items provided as disposables.

The shower room is also spacious and tidy – a definite win for the bathroom!

Swimming Pool

Opening Hours: 7:00~20:00

Located on 6F, Room card required for entry

The swimming pool, offering full city views,

is divided into sections for exercise, leisure swimming, children, and a jacuzzi area,

so you can enjoy it to your heart's content, whatever you're looking for.

Plus, there are plenty of sunbeds.

Drinks and food are also available for order.

Just gazing at the tranquil view is inherently healing!

Gym: Saigon Centurion Fitness Center

6:00~22:00

For me, someone who typically gives up on exercising first when traveling,

I only admired the gym from the swimming pool...

As a proper gym where not just hotel guests but also locals sign up for memberships,

it was incredibly impressive in scale, utilizing all three floors of the shopping mall, equipped with diverse machines,

and even featuring a boxing ring.

This would be a great highlight for those who can't miss out on their gains!

Fusion Original Saigon Centre Pros and Cons

Pros

1. Located inside a shopping mall, offering a cool and refreshing escape, and within walking distance of major attractions like Ben Thanh Market (310m) and Ho Chi Minh Square (610m).

2. Enjoy complimentary coffee, cookies, and fruit on every floor, plus a free daily minibar refill.

3. An incredible swimming pool, offering breathtaking panoramic city night views. The gym is also renowned for its quality (I haven't personally been, but it certainly looks impressive!).

4. Being a new build, the interior is wonderfully stylish and impeccably clean.

Downsides

1. Staff responsiveness can occasionally be lacking.

2. With card key issues occurring so frequently, it feels like an overhaul might be in order.

4. After the shopping mall closes, the path from the main road can be quite dark.

5. The swimming pool is shared with the neighboring Sedona Hotel, which means it can get crowded during peak season.
