Regarding the time, between 2 PM and 4 PM,
we were able to adjust the time with the bartender to suit us best.
The path to Breeze Bar, right by the beach!

At the Breeze Bar, which truly exudes that resort beach vibe,
I told them my name and that I was here for the cocktail class, and they kindly showed us the way!
Arrival & Basic Setup

We arrived at Breeze Bar about 10 minutes before the class started,
and already beautifully set up on the terrace table were
various ingredients and cocktail tools!

My mom, my sibling, and I signed up as a trio,
so it was fantastic that we could enjoy a private session,
and I was even more thrilled that it took place on the terrace with the beach as our backdrop – I hadn't expected that!
Introducing the Ingredients

I've always admired bartenders skillfully using cocktail shakers, strainers, muddlers, jiggers, and various other tools at cocktail bars, so being able to try them all myself had me buzzing with excitement! :)
Before we really got started,
our bartender, who was also our teacher for the day, introduced each ingredient.

First, for our bases, we had Schweppes tonic, soda water, ginger ale, and
✅ six types of Lady Trieu gin, named after Vietnamese place names and cities, were prepared.
Mekong Delta Dry Gin, Da Lat Flowerbomb Gin,
Hoi An Spice Road Gin, Sapa Citrus Tea Gin, Mixed Gin, and more.
Since each gin has different raw ingredients,
As I listened to the explanations and tried each one, it was fascinating to discover their different scents and flavors,
and they tasted so good that I ended up buying a bottle at the duty-free shop on my departure day! 😉
The ingredients, beautifully set out, included ✅ mango, lemongrass, mint, ginger, calamansi, and more –
all exuding that distinct Vietnamese charm.
First Cocktail | Crafting a Gin & Tonic

For our warm-up, we started with the relatively simple task of crafting a ✅ Gin & Tonic.
We chose one gin out of five we'd sampled,
then added our preferred garnishes and soda water.

It was fun because, while based on set ratios and recipes, we each chose our own gin and garnishes according to our taste,
resulting in three subtly different Gin & Tonics.
The instructor even said we could add more of the leftover ingredients,
so I went wild, adding as much mango as I wanted! ✨
Second Cocktail | From Vietnam With Love

The second cocktail was a signature drink with a more elaborate recipe,
✅ "From Vietnam With Love"!
They even handed out recipe papers – how cool is that! 😄
This cocktail involved chilling the shaker, making us feel even more like real bartenders!

I diligently muddled the ginger,
and this time, we chilled a different type of glass than the one used for the Gin & Tonic.
Then, we added the ingredients to a chrome shaker and started shaking.
We all enthusiastically shook our shakers with one hand or two, but my shaker came apart and clattered to the floor, so they kindly brought me another one... haha!

The second cocktail, completed by straining and garnishing, was a delightful blend of
✅ the sweetness of honey and mango, the zing of calamansi, and subtle hints of lemongrass and ginger.
It tasted even better because I made it myself!!! 🤩
Again, we were told we could add more leftover ingredients,
so I added a bit more honey, which really enhanced the richness of the flavor.

A celebratory 'cheers' with our bartender instructor and a souvenir photo!
✅ The total class time was approximately 1 hour!
It was a truly enjoyable time, with the bartender diligently explaining everything and answering all our questions throughout the class! 👍

Since both cocktails were quite strong,
✅ they thoughtfully allowed us to relax and slowly enjoy our leftover cocktails at Breeze Bar.
They even brought us peanut snacks 🥺 – no need to rush!
Thanks to their kindness, we had a wonderful time savoring our cocktails while admiring the beach view! 😊
My Honest Review

For 16 USD or 399,000 VND, which is approximately ~$17,
you get two cocktails, a private class, and access to a sea-view terrace.
Even though it's a paid activity, it offers great value,
and it's definitely a recommended program if you're looking for a unique experience within the resort!
Once the class ended, the bartender seemed to smoothly transition back to their regular duties.
We were all so excited that we agreed to buy cocktail tools and make them again once we got home! 😄
