Furama Resort Danang Review: Family Garden Room
Planning a family trip to Vietnam? Read our honest review of Furama Resort Danang's Garden Superior room, featuring late checkout tips and first impressions.

As a family of four with two young kids in early elementary school,
we put a lot of thought into choosing our accommodation in Da Nang.
We wanted somewhere reasonably priced, in a great location,
and with that perfect, lush Southeast Asian resort vibe.
After searching for a 5-star resort that ticked all these boxes,
we finally decided on the Furama Resort Da Nang!
To give you a quick spoiler:
The whole family was completely satisfied + it was pure paradise

Honest First Impressions & Insider Tips

To be honest, we had just checked out of the Mikazuki Resort,
so when we first entered our room,
the size felt much smaller and we could definitely notice its age.
My husband and kids looked a bit disappointed at first.
But as we spent time there, we quickly got used to
its classic elegance,
and the age didn't turn out to be an issue at all.

Best of all, the entire resort was filled with the fragrance of fresh flowers,
making every walk feel like pure healing!
3 Handy Tips to Know

1. Lobby with No AC
Since the lobby is open-air with no windows,
they don't turn on any air conditioning.

Instead, they offer a refreshing welcome drink
and a cold towel during check-in.
2. Free Late Check-out
The standard check-out time at Furama Resort is 11:00 AM,
but I read that a 1-hour late check-out is available for free.
So I requested it the day before checking out,
and they gladly accepted.
This might vary
depending on the season or availability.
If you want to check out by 6:00 PM, though,
you have to pay 50% of the room rate for one night.
So, I highly recommend booking a "0.5-night" budget hotel in downtown Da Nang instead.

3. Mini-fridge Performance
The mini-fridge in the room was not cold at all.
Be careful when storing fresh food.
Garden Superior Room - Staying as a Family of 4

The room type I booked was the resort's most basic option:
the Garden Superior.
✔️ Standard Capacity: 2 Adults
✔️ Maximum Capacity: 3 Adults / 2 Adults + 2 Children
Furama Child Policy: Ages 4 to 11
I made our reservation through Peak Time,
and under the conditions for adding two children,
one extra bed and an additional surcharge for one child
were mandatory.

Our assigned room was Room 263.
Being on the second floor was great because we could enjoy
the lush tropical greenery right at eye level.
While a lagoon view might look better in photos,
I felt it might get a little too noisy.

My husband slept on the extra bed,
and the kids and I slept horizontally on the king bed.
Since the kids are still quite young,
we didn't feel cramped at all.

Compared to the size of the room, the bathroom was absolutely massive,
making it super convenient to wash the kids.

They even provided a separate kids' toothbrush as part of the amenities.
No bidet in the bathroom was a tiny bit of a bummer, but it is what it is!

Inside the room, they had a traditional Vietnamese nón lá (conical hat)
and a cute rattan bag ready for guests,
which came in so handy when heading down to the pool.
Prime Location & Awesome Food Delivery Options

When we were heading to Hoi An, I noticed that the resorts further south
had absolutely nothing around them in terms of shops or restaurants.
But right outside Furama Resort, everything is within walking distance—
massage shops, restaurants, cafes, and local marts!
I immediately understood why everyone raves about its unbeatable location.
Our Go-To Delivery Spot: 'Pho Viet Kieu'

Let me share a fantastic spot we ordered from
via Grab while staying at Furama.
Without doing much research, we just ordered beef fried rice, chicken pho,
and a beef steak sandwich from a place called "Pho Viet Kieu."
The total came to 383,760 VND (around ~$13),
and every single dish was absolutely delicious!
Highly recommend ordering from here during your stay.

Lagoon Pool + Main Pool + My Khe Beach

The Ultimate Furama Resort Da Nang Swimming Guide
Recommended Time | Location | Hours |
Morning & Afternoon | Lagoon Pool | 10:00 - 18:00 |
Sunset | My Khe Beach | 24 Hours |
Night | Main Pool (Ocean Pool) | 24 Hours (Lifeguard on duty: 06:00 - 18:00) |

During the daytime when the sun is blazing,
the Lagoon Pool is where you absolutely want to be.
Lush, towering trees surround it to create natural shade,
so you can splash around comfortably without melting under the heat.

The Lagoon Pool was actually the biggest reason
I booked Furama Resort in the first place,
and it truly felt like a tropical paradise on earth.

Just keep in mind that around sunset,
the mosquitoes start to come out in the jungle-like setting.
That's the perfect time to head down to My Khe Beach for a dip
and enjoy the gorgeous sunset colors.

At night, wrap up your perfect day with a late-night swim
at the 24-hour oceanfront Main Pool!
