thanks to my long-awaited Europe trip coming up in a few weeks!

Today, for those of you venturing to Europe for the first time,

I'm going to recommend essential items you absolutely must pack

for your European adventure.

Europe Travel Packing List

1. Luggage Size Recommendations

First off, many of you might be wondering about

the ideal luggage size for your Europe trip.

On my first trip to Europe, I wasn't sure how much to pack,

making it hard to decide on a luggage size.

While it might vary depending on the season you travel to Europe,

let me break it down for you simply.

Since most European trips are long-term,

a suitcase size of 28 to 32 inches is generally suitable.

For lighter, less bulky clothes in summer, a 28-inch suitcase is perfect.

When clothes are thicker and bulkier, like in autumn or winter,

a 32-inch one will be just right!

Many roads in Europe are old and uneven,

so I recommend using a suitcase with wheels that roll smoothly.

2. Foldable Bag

The second essential item is a foldable bag.

As I mentioned earlier, if you're taking a 28-32 inch suitcase,

you might think you have plenty of space when you leave for Europe.

However, during your trip, you'll likely buy quite a few souvenirs.

If your suitcase runs out of space, it can be quite tricky

to bring everything home.

To prepare for such situations, bringing a lightweight and affordable

foldable bag means you won't have to worry about bringing back souvenirs

or gifts for friends and family!

cleansing oil, and more.

If you put all your toiletries in one organizer bag, there's less risk of losing them, and it's easy to store.

Our seventh item, a truly crucial one, is a lock & wire.

Pickpocketing can be quite prevalent in Europe,

so you always need to keep a close eye on your belongings.

The primary way to protect your items is

by using a lock.

If you put locks on your suitcase or cross-body bag, it will definitely make it harder for pickpockets to access them easily.

Also, you'll likely be moving between countries frequently during your Europe trip.

When you take a train or bus,

if you secure your suitcase to a pole using a wire like the one in the photo, you can travel with much greater peace of mind.

It won't be easy for anyone to just walk off with a suitcase that's secured with a wire..!

8. Phone Strap

Lastly, the essential item I want to share with you is

a phone strap!

As I mentioned earlier, it's wise to assume that

pickpockets in Europe are always targeting tourists' belongings.

Especially high-value items like smartphones

have a high chance of becoming a target.

If you keep your phone strapped to your hand,

you significantly lower the risk of it being pickpocketed.

I always use the phone strap shown below, and

so far, I haven't been pickpocketed!

(Even with a strap, always stay vigilant!)
