Hotel Eunpa Palace Deluxe Lake Room Review
When planning my trip to Gunsan, the absolute number one thing I looked for in accommodation was the view. I wanted to escape the cramped city blocks and wake up to a relaxing nature view. That's how I found Hotel Eunpa Palace, located right in front of the stunning Eunpa Lake Park.
I booked a lake-view room, and spoiler alert: it was the absolute best decision ever!

Exterior of Eunpa Palace

Even from a distance, Hotel Eunpa Palace looks sleek, modern, and clean.

The way the building blends into the lush, green surroundings of Eunpa Lake Park caught my eye right away. As you stroll along the lakeside trail, it stands out as a beautiful landmark.

At night, the hotel lights up, creating a totally different, romantic vibe. Taking a slow, evening walk along the lake while admiring the night view was a highlight. It's a place that’s beautiful both day and night.

As soon as you walk through the doors, you're greeted by a spacious and incredibly clean lobby.

Right next to the reception is an unmanned convenience store, perfect for grabbing any essentials or late-night snacks.

There's also a spicy webfoot octopus restaurant and a cozy coffee shop right inside the hotel, so you can grab a quick bite or a cup of coffee without having to step outside.

The staff welcomed us so warmly, making the check-in process super pleasant. Grabbing our breakfast vouchers for the next morning, we eagerly headed up to our room!
Eunpa Palace Room Review

For this Gunsan trip, we stayed in Room 502, which is a Deluxe Lake Room for up to 3 people (featuring 1 double bed + 1 single bed).

The moment I opened the door, a loud "Wow!" escaped my mouth. It was so incredibly spacious—seriously, you could almost play mini-soccer in here! The furniture was in excellent condition, and everything was absolutely spotless, which made me so happy.

But the absolute best part? Opening the window to reveal the breathtaking, uninterrupted lake view of Eunpa Lake Park!

Being able to fully take in the wide-open lake view right from the room, I knew instantly that this was the ultimate room-with-a-view in Gunsan.

After admiring the view for a while, I started checking out the room amenities one by one.
First off, the shower room and vanity area are separated, and the shower is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

They also provided plenty of clean towels.
You can find the hairdryer tucked away in a neat pouch.
(Note: Due to local environmental regulations on resource recycling, disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors are not provided in the room. If you need them, please check with the front desk.)

In the mini-fridge, there are three complimentary bottles of water,

And right above the fridge, you'll find coffee packets, tea bags, and an electric kettle. There's even an ice bucket—perfect for chilling a couple of beers in the evening!

Inside the closet, you'll find super soft bathrobes waiting for you,

Along with multi-port charging cables and even some mosquito spray, just in case.
Eunpa Palace Breakfast

To start my day, I headed up to the 7th floor to have breakfast at the Farbe Restaurant.

Just show the coupon you received during check-in to enter.
The standard price for breakfast is ~$10, but guests can get a 40% discount by prepaying, bringing the cost down to just ~$6.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but the last entry is at 9:30 AM, so I recommend heading down a little early to take your time.

The spread includes toast, porridge, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, cereal, and fresh salad—a perfect light yet satisfying selection to start the morning. It was actually surprisingly filling!

Once you're finished, simply return your plates to the return station.
Wrapping Up

With the vast Eunpa Lake Park sprawling right in front of the hotel, it couldn't be more perfect for a leisurely stroll in the early morning or late at night.

As night falls, the iconic Mulbit Bridge—the ultimate landmark of Eunpa—lights up in a gorgeous, colorful display.

Whether taking in the sparkling night view from the cozy comfort of our room or strolling along the lakeside, the scenery was absolutely magical.
Eunpa Lake Park is a famous cherry blossom hotspot where endless tunnels of pink blooms unfold every spring. While the lush, clear lake views were already incredible, I couldn't help but dream about how magical it would be to look out the window as cherry blossom petals drift down like snowflakes. My heart is already fluttering just thinking about it—I am definitely timing my next visit for cherry blossom season!
