Soju Karaoke & Bar Edmonton Review 2026: A Moms' Night Out
After years abroad, I finally experienced Edmonton's Soju Karaoke & Bar! Join me for a nostalgic Korean night out, delicious food, and a much-needed mom's escape.

Hey there, Global Explorers! 🍁
After years of living abroad, I finally…
visited a local karaoke bar for the very first time!!!
Woohoo! 🎉🎤
Back when I was a 'country mouse' on the East Coast, I'd heard whispers of karaoke spots, but never had the chance to go or a friend to join me. 🥹
But when I moved to Edmonton, everyone told me,
“You can find anything here!” Still, after settling in, juggling childcare and household duties left me no time for a karaoke night out.
Then, one day!
My amazing friend, who previously introduced me to the hot spot Nineteen, took me to none other than Soju Karaoke & Bar this time. 🥹❤️
🍻 Reuniting with an Old Colleague from Korea... And a Much-Needed Moms' Night Out!
Truth be told, this friend is my 'soulmate' (😂) from over a decade ago in Korea. We used to go to company dinners and karaoke almost every week, seeing each other at our best and worst!
Back then, we'd naturally meet up after work for dinner, drinks, and karaoke. Now, both of us are married moms raising kids in Canada, and we've reconnected.
Time certainly flies! 😂
But for this night, we decided to shed our 'mom hats' and party like it was old times!
We planned our night out for this past fall weekend.
We originally tried to book for Friday night, but as expected for a weekend hot spot, it was fully booked! 😱
So, we ended up reserving for **10:00 PM on Saturday night**!
This timing actually worked out perfectly for us moms who can only head out after the kids are asleep. ✌️
📍 Soju Karaoke & Bar: Location Details

Soju Karaoke and Bar
Address: 9110 51 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB
Hours: Sun-Thu 6:00 PM–1:30 AM / Fri-Sat 6:00 PM–2:45 AM. It's always a good idea to confirm their current hours and reservation availability before your visit.
Reservations: Highly recommended on weekends! We booked in advance for our Saturday night visit.
✨ Impressed at First Glance: Ambiance & Luxurious Restrooms!

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and comfortable the venue was!
The central hall featured tables for waiting or enjoying drinks and snacks, surrounded by the private karaoke rooms.
But what truly impressed me was…
how clean and luxurious the restrooms were! 😂
In North America, when you're out for a night of drinks, a clean bathroom is absolutely essential, right? 👍
Since the previous reservation was running a little late, we grabbed a table in the central hall and immediately ordered Somaek (soju + beer) and some appetizers. 🍺🍶
🍗 Appetizer Heaven! Spicy Pork Cartilage, Crispy Chicken Skin, & Canned Peaches

We mixed our Somaek to golden perfection, but the most crucial part, of course, is the food, isn't it? 😂
Here's what we ordered that night:
Spicy Pork Cartilage (Odolppyeo): Perfectly chewy with a satisfying kick of spice!
Crispy Chicken Skin (Dak-kkeopjil Twigim): Super crunchy, an ideal match for Somaek.
Canned Peaches (Hwangdo): That classic karaoke snack you just *have* to order! Cool, sweet, and surprisingly refreshing.
After setting up our snacks and clinking our Somaek glasses, we were finally escorted to our private room. 🚪
🎤 Is This Korea, or Edmonton?!

The room we were led to was just the right size for the two of us, and the adjustable lighting was perfect for setting the mood.
As soon as the door closed, one thought popped into my head:
“Ah… this is just like Korea. It’s wonderful…” 🥹❤️
We booked the karaoke room for one hour.
For that entire time, we truly felt like we were transported back a decade, singing our hearts out at the top of our lungs.
And let me tell you…
we had so much fun, I almost wondered if moms were even allowed to scream and sing that loudly! 🤣
After burning through our hour, we moved back to the central hall tables and chatted until close.
It had been so long since I'd stayed out late with a friend like that!
On the way home, only one thought crossed my mind:
“Edmonton really is an incredible place……” 🇨🇦❤️
👩👧 Moms' Night Out After Bedtime: A Resounding Success!

This time, my husband couldn't join us because he was putting the kids to bed.
I definitely want to find a way to bring him along next time!
In Korea, the routine of
dinner → drinks → karaoke → heading home in the early hours was so common.
Why does it become such a special event here in Canada? 😂
Especially when you're raising kids as an immigrant, you sometimes truly miss those aimless nights out for adults.
In that sense, this night was truly rejuvenating. ❤️
If you're in Edmonton and craving that authentic Korean karaoke vibe,
if you want a private spot to sing with friends,
or if you're a mom like me looking for a much-needed night out after putting the kids to bed, Soju Karaoke & Bar is definitely worth a visit. 🎤🍶
I'm already planning my next visit – with my husband this time! 😂
🏨 Staying Out Late in Edmonton? Consider This!
And one more thing.
While we live here and headed home after karaoke, if you're visiting Edmonton or coming from out of town, consider making it a full night out with a comfortable stay at a nearby hotel.
Especially since Soju Karaoke is open late on Fridays and Saturdays, booking accommodation nearby would allow you to enjoy dinner with friends, karaoke, and then easily head back to your room for a relaxed end to the night.
