Edmonton Corn Maze 2026 Review: Sunflowers & Jumping Pillows
Discover the Edmonton Corn Maze in 2026! My family's fall adventure included a massive hay bale playground, the irresistible jumping pillow, and valuable tips for your visit.

Hello, fellow adventurers! 🍁
Yesterday, September 30th, was the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, wasn't it?
My family decided to celebrate this day with a lovely autumn outing,
and finally visited the long-awaited Edmonton Corn Maze! 🌽🍁
Honestly, we spent quite some time debating whether to go to Prairie Gardens or here.
Both places had such a strong autumn vibe, it was a tough choice,
but ultimately, the Corn Maze was much closer to our home!
So, after much deliberation, we picked the Corn Maze this time. 🚗💨
🎟️ Small Tips Before You Go & Parking Tips

The morning temperatures in Edmonton have been quite chilly lately, haven't they? 🥶
So, rather than rushing out early in the morning,
we waited until the sun was shining warm and bright,
and then leisurely departed after 1 PM.
We also bought our tickets online in advance.
According to their official website, buying tickets online saves you $1 per ticket,
and an added bonus is avoiding the on-site entrance queue.
Thanks to our online check-in,
we arrived and got right in without waiting in a long line!
We got there around 1:30 PM, and the parking lot was already absolutely packed with cars.
But thanks to online check-in, we zipped right in without any waiting! 😎
And when we left around 5 PM, the line at the entrance had grown incredibly long.
So, if you're planning an afternoon visit,
I definitely recommend booking online!
Just a heads-up, on September 30th, the Corn Maze operating hours were 10 AM to 8 PM.
🌾 The First Kid-Magnet We Found Right at the Entrance

Straw Bale Playground & Jumping Pillow
Right after entering, what awaited us in the center was...
a colossal Straw Bale Playground!
It's a huge play area with straw bales stacked up like giant blocks.
Of course, the kids couldn't just walk past it. 😂
Jumping up, climbing up,
rolling down, and climbing up again...
My daughter happily played here for tens of minutes alone.
'Alright, alright... play to your heart's content.' I thought, and waited.
But after finally escaping and walking a little further...
another one appeared.

Jumping Pillow.
Oh...
Oh no... here we go again... 🤦♀️
This was another spot kids simply couldn't pass by.
So, another tens of minutes passed.
I left my daughter with my husband,
and seized the opportunity to explore the Corn Maze interior by myself. 😂
🌻 A Flower Enthusiast Gone Wild in the Sunflower Fields
feat. Finally Getting My Fill After the Sunflower Festival

Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I wanted to visit the Corn Maze
might have been for the sunflower fields more than the corn maze itself. 🌻
I'm quite fond of flowers,
so even before visiting, I kept checking their website and Google reviews.
Especially since I went to a Sunflower Festival just the week before,
and left feeling disappointed that perfectly bloomed sunflowers seemed to be a myth...
this time, I truly got my fill! 😂
When I saw the sunflower fields stretching out from the entrance,
wow... this was truly different.
The endless expanse of yellow sunflowers was absolutely gorgeous.
Seeing it in person, you really get a sense of the scale of the fields,
much more than in photos!
Officially, the sunflower fields are open from September,
and a Sunflower U-Pick is $1 per stem.
The sunflower fields themselves are included in the general admission ticket. 🌻
If you love flowers, you could spend ages here just taking photos.
And me? Of course...
I took a ton of pictures! 🤣
🌽 Of course, it's called the Corn Maze for a reason!

And then there's the main attraction here: the Corn Maze!
Since it's called the Edmonton Corn Maze,
the scale of the cornfields is truly immense.
They say they create a new maze design every year,
and in 2026, it was themed to celebrate AMA's 100th anniversary.
According to the official website, the corn maze is made up of two interconnected labyrinths, and the entire course is quite a trek.
You'll also spot the Corn Cob Express chugging along the perimeter of the cornfield,
and it had such an adorable vibe that kids are sure to love.
Finally, our family was ready to officially take on the corn maze challenge!
With the corn stalks towering so high, once you step inside,
the entire landscape around you truly transforms.
You get that 'Where am I?'
feeling.
But guess what? We made it out much faster than we expected!
It took us less than 30 minutes!
The official website advises that it typically takes an average of 45-90 minutes to complete,
so I guess our family has a bit of a knack for navigation! 😎
...is what I'd love to write, but honestly,
the truth is, my daughter was more preoccupied with collecting corn kernels and watching ants than actually tackling the maze. 😂
⚠️ And a super practical tip! Make sure you use the restroom before you head in.
While there were portable toilet booths conveniently located throughout the corn maze,
it didn't seem like there was a shortage of them.
But...
Hmm...
Personally, I just couldn't bring myself to step inside. 😂
My daughter even attempted it once but couldn't manage,
and I ended up giving up too.
Ultimately, my daughter and I waited until we got home to take care of business! 🤣
If you're planning a visit with your little ones,
it's probably a good idea to make a restroom stop before you enter,
or perhaps don't plan to stay for too long.
Since this type of attraction is primarily an outdoor venue,
it's probably best not to expect restroom facilities to be on the same level as indoor tourist spots.
For those of you who are a bit particular about restrooms, like us, I highly recommend taking care of business beforehand!
🐥 Adorable Animals & Pumpkins Packed with Fall Charm

It turns out the corn maze isn't just about cornfields!
There were chickens,
goats,
and pigs!
There's even an animal farm area that kids will absolutely adore,
making it perfect for a little stop-and-look. 🐐🐷🐔
What's more, true to the fall season, pumpkin decorations were scattered everywhere,
creating plenty of fantastic photo ops. 🎃
It definitely felt less like 'just a place to see a single corn maze' and more like
a fantastic fall farm adventure perfect for spending half a day with the kids.
Officially, they also offer various activities like an animal farm, jumping pillows, and mini-golf.
🍿 Snack Market Tour

Coffee, Popcorn, and Sunflower U-Pick!
After exploring here and there on my own,
I made my way over to the main market area.
But even here, there was a bit of a queue.
But hey, you know what?
Good food is always worth the wait! 🤣
Here's a glimpse of the menu items I spotted:
☕ Coffee $2
🍿 Popcorn $10
🌻 Sunflower U-Pick $1 / stem
And what did I end up doing?
I bought 10 sunflower stems!
5 stems went into a vase in our living room,
and the other 5 were destined for a friend's place. 🌻
Of course, throughout this entire process,
I kept my daughter happy with a bag of popcorn...
and cleverly lured her back towards the corn maze. 😂
🌻 Sunflower Delivery Complete

After getting out of the maze,
we made our way back to the sunflower field I had eyed earlier!
But guess what? Another 'challenge' popped up.
My daughter's heart was already...
set on the animal farm!
So, we ended up spending quite a while at the animal farm again,
while I, the clever mom, seized the opportunity to gather 10 beautiful sunflower stems. 🌻
And before heading straight home,
we made a quick stop at my friend's place to deliver 5 stems!
Another successful sunflower delivery for the day! 🚗🌻
💛 So, what's the final verdict?
This visit to the Edmonton Corn Maze
turned out to be far more satisfying than I had imagined!
✔️ Tickets
Buying tickets online in advance saves you $1 compared to on-site purchase and grants faster entry.
✔️ Kids' Activities
Straw bale playground → Jumping pillows → Animal farm
Excellent for wearing out the kids (in a good way!). 😂
✔️ Mom's Little Perk
Endless sunflower fields + $1 U-Pick 🌻 (a total win!)
✔️ Corn Maze
Much larger than expected, and with a brand new design every year, it offers a fresh kind of fun each autumn.
✔️ Duration
If you explore everything like we did, it's definitely enough for a fun half-day adventure.
The absolute best part was that
it wasn't just a place for kids to have a blast,
Even Mom could take endless photos and have a blast in the sunflower field! 🤣🌻
If you're looking to truly soak in the autumn atmosphere in Edmonton,
it's definitely a place worth visiting at least once as a weekend outing with the kids.
We arrived around 1:30 PM and even though we left around 5:00 PM,
with so much to do, time just flew by!
We took so many photos that
I couldn't even include them all in this post. 😂
Before autumn deepens even further,
escape the corn maze at the Edmonton Corn Maze 🌽
and take home a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers! 🌻
And as for the kids...
once they get on the jumping pillow, they won't want to leave easily!
It's a true happy trap! 🤣
