Hello from Hyeri, your friendly global explorer! Let's kick off today's travel log 🌏
Lately, traveling to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan
seems to be incredibly popular!
In the past, most flights required layovers,
making the travel time quite long, but now
Eastar Jet's direct Incheon-Almaty route
makes the journey so much more convenient 💚
Since I recently flew round-trip on this route,
I wanted to share a detailed guide focusing on everything you might wonder about before boarding,
from how to book, to seats, and even the in-flight snack bar ✈️

1. Incheon Airport <-> Almaty, Kazakhstan Direct Flight

Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan,
is widely known as the gateway to Central Asian travel.
Previously, travelers from Korea mostly had to take connecting flights,
but now that Eastar Jet offers a direct route,
you can easily set off on your adventure without any hassle!
2. How to Book Discounted Flights

I usually compare credit card benefits
on Trip.com or MyRealTrip
to secure the lowest price possible.
I booked my ticket in the ~$448 range per person round-trip!
Specifically, on Trip.com, once you book a flight,
you can get up to 25% off hotels for 90 days,
so I tend to prefer using Trip.com quite a bit!

While prices vary depending on the dates,
Eastar Jet was about
~$192 to ~$320 cheaper compared to other airlines!
Especially since direct flights have much shorter travel times than layover flights,
they are incredibly popular.
Tickets for desired dates sell out quickly, so if you've decided on your travel plans,
I highly recommend booking right away.
3. Incheon-Almaty ZE135 Flight Review

Incheon-Almaty ZE135 📍 Departure: Incheon International Airport T1 ICN, 19:25 📍 Arrival: Almaty International Airport ALA, 22:40 Flight Duration: 7 hours 15 mins 📌 Checked Baggage: 15kg Carry-on Baggage: 10kg |
You can board the Eastar Jet Incheon-Almaty flight
at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport.
After checking in at Check-in Counter F,
I dropped off my checked baggage.
I checked in online beforehand to select my seat in advance!
💡 Long-Haul Flight Essentials
Neck pillow, power bank, earphones, light jacket

Since we didn't purchase in-flight meals separately,
we bought some bread beforehand at Paris Baguette
and boarded at Gate 27.

The aircraft was a Boeing 737-8,
featuring a standard 3-3 seat configuration.

The legroom was typical for a low-cost carrier.
As an average-height woman, I didn't find it uncomfortable at all!

Since there are no in-seat screens,
you should definitely download movies or shows beforehand.
Unfortunately, I didn't see any USB ports or charging outlets either.

In-flight Meals
Since complimentary meals are not provided,
I highly recommend pre-ordering a meal on their website
or grabbing a quick sandwich before you board.
(Pre-orders are available up to 72 hours before departure)

We didn't pre-order any meals,
so we just bought some sandwiches and pastries
to bring on board with us!

In-flight Cafe
At the In-flight Cafe, you can buy pizza, cup ramen, cookies,
soft drinks, beer, coffee, and more,
making it easy to grab a light snack or beverage on board!

They were also selling this cute merchandise,
and I just couldn't resist buying one 🤭

4. Almaty to Incheon (ZE136) Flight Review

Almaty to Incheon (ZE136) 📍 Departure: Almaty International Airport (ALA), 23:40 📍 Arrival: Incheon International Airport (T1 ICN), 10:05 Flight Duration: 6 hours 25 minutes 📌 Checked Baggage: 15kg Carry-on Baggage: 10kg |
The return flight check-in was at Counters 4–7,
and the boarding process went pretty quickly.

It was originally Gate 202, but the gate changed
along the way without us realizing.
Be sure to double-check the screens before boarding, just in case!

My return flight was on the exact same aircraft model,
featuring the same 3-3 seat configuration.

Just like the departure flight, there were no screens or USB charging ports,
and the legroom was exactly the same.

I flew back on a Tuesday,
and maybe because it was a weekday, the flight was almost empty!
I got to enjoy "lie-flat economy" (눕코노미) which was so incredibly comfortable. 🥹
Since it was a red-eye flight, I fell straight into a deep, sweet sleep...

On a night flight, if you sit by the window on the left side,
you can catch a beautiful sunrise, so keep that in mind!
Flying nonstop from Incheon to Almaty in one go
saved so much energy compared to taking layovers,
and because the price was so reasonable, my overall satisfaction was incredibly high!
If you're planning a trip to Almaty,
I highly recommend Eastar Jet's direct route.
With this quick guide to the Eastar Jet nonstop flight to Almaty,
I'll wrap up today's post! 💚
