02. My Experience at Agosto Coffee Almaty

It was the perfect spot to sit back and soak in the tranquil forest views. The sofas were incredibly comfortable, and the tables were spacious, allowing us to truly unwind and savor the moment.

As we were enjoying our peaceful morning, we suddenly heard the gentle jingle of a bell from somewhere nearby.

Suddenly, a friendly cat, seemingly a resident of the cafe, gracefully approached our table.

It started by playfully scratching the sofa right beside us before hopping onto my lap. This cat was incredibly affectionate and friendly – a true "dog-cat" in the best sense!

It seemed like a very free-spirited cat, and the staff didn't seem to mind its playful antics. While we enjoyed playing with our new feline friend, our drinks arrived.

The coffee was perfectly fine, but the mango matcha, which I ordered out of curiosity, was exactly what it sounded like: a combination of mango and matcha. To be honest, I'm not sure if these two flavors are truly meant to go together! It was surprisingly not sweet at all.

Next came the hummus, served in a glass jar alongside some warm, freshly baked bread. It looked incredibly inviting.

Spreading the savory, nutty hummus onto the warm bread was an absolute delight – a truly fantastic combination! If you're not looking for a heavy meal but want something simple and healthy for breakfast or a light bite, ordering hummus at this cafe is a brilliant choice.

It's amazing how quickly we bonded with the cafe cat!

Agosto Coffee, nestled near Zenkov Cathedral, truly shines with its window seating, offering unparalleled views of the forest. The overall atmosphere is wonderfully quiet, and visiting in the morning allowed us to enjoy the serene forest panorama and spend quality time with the affectionate resident cat. It's truly an ideal Almaty cafe experience!
