My Khe Beach Draco Hotel & Suites

I'm sure many of you are planning a summer vacation to Danang, Vietnam,
with family or as a couple.
However, most flights arriving in Danang usually depart
late in the evening and land in the early hours of the morning.
At this point, booking an expensive resort can feel like too much, and
even city hotels can be pricier than expected, leaving you wondering where to stay.
I actually had the exact same dilemma when I discovered
a great place for a 0.5-night stay after an early morning arrival,
so I booked it and tried it out!
Today, I'm excited to introduce Draco Hotel & Suites, located near My Khe Beach
and offering early morning check-in!

Draco Hotel & Suites is a great value hotel located within the An Thuong Quarter,
just a 5-minute walk from My Khe Beach.
With rates around ~$35-~$41 for both weekdays and weekends,
it's a truly excellent place for a 0.5-night stay for those arriving late on their first day.
Let me tell you a bit more about the hotel's location and price advantages.
The map gives you a general idea of Draco Hotel's
approximate location.
It's located right next to My Khe Beach and within the An Thuong Tourist Quarter,
offering truly excellent access to the beach, great restaurants, and more.
Many of you might know My Khe Beach, but perhaps the An Thuong Quarter is new to you.
It's an area where you can fully enjoy a charming street vibe that's completely different
from downtown Danang. Just looking at the photos, it has a bit of a European feel, doesn't it?
It's packed with trendy restaurants and cafes, and there are quite a few pubs open late into the night.
And it's also a close 5-minute walk to My Khe Beach.
Perhaps because it's near the beach but not overly crowded, this area sees many more Westerners than Koreans.
Also, it's much quieter than the My Khe Beach city side.
What's more, there are many affordable local massage shops nearby, so after your 0.5-night stay from an early morning arrival,
you can casually enjoy the charming street atmosphere and even get a massage – sounds perfect, right?
Furthermore, the hotel's price is quite reasonable.

Agoda had the best price, so that's where I booked my stay!
However, prices can sometimes vary depending on promotions,
dates, or room types,
so I highly recommend checking both sites before you book.
Next up, I'll share my experience from my
0.5-night stay in the Superior Twin Room.
We arrived around 12:20 AM, and there was one staff member at the counter.
It was fascinating because the staff member immediately knew our names,
making us wonder if we were the last check-in of the day!
Check-in was super quick, done in under 5 minutes, and
we were assigned Room 301.
Along with the room key card, we received a paper detailing
the operating hours for hotel facilities
like breakfast and the swimming pool.
Good to know: you can store your luggage in the lobby
both before and after check-in!
When we stepped into our assigned Room 301,
I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and stylish it felt.
Even though it's considered a value-for-money hotel, it's also classified as a 4-star,
and the interiors were surprisingly well-maintained.
The bed, in particular, was quite soft and wonderfully large,
easily accommodating two people.
As you can see in the photos, the overall room layout
is divided into a bedroom area and a shower room near the entrance.
The space at the foot of the bed was quite large, and there was ample room
between the bed and the bathroom, so we could open two suitcases
with plenty of space to spare.
Basic amenities in the room included slippers,
hangers, bathrobes, and a hairdryer.
We also found two bottles of water, tea, and coffee.
Other items like ramen and drinks were available from the minibar,
all for an additional charge.
One thing to keep in mind is that the water in the fridge
is chargeable, so be aware!
(It's not expensive, though.)
To the right of the entrance, you'll find a sink and
a toilet and shower area.
The sink was separate,
but the shower was in the same space as the toilet.
Next to the sink, basic bathroom amenities included
a toothbrush, toothpaste, a hair cap, a comb, and cotton swabs.
While they weren't luxurious amenities, they provided everything
essential for a comfortable stay, so I didn't feel any inconvenience.
The shower had great water pressure and drained well,
so showering was absolutely comfortable.
However, since it's designed so water can splash onto the toilet behind it,
I recommend moving the toilet paper out of the way to keep it from getting wet.
Also, while body wash and shampoo are provided,
conditioner is not available.
If you need it, it's a good idea to bring your own travel-sized bottle.
Finally, the Superior Twin room I used
didn't have a particular view.
For those who prioritize a view, I recommend booking a City View or
Ocean View room!
Beyond the rooms, there were other convenient facilities available.
First, there was a gym on the M floor.
It wasn't huge, more like a room the size of a single guest room,
fitted with exercise equipment.
Though small, it had essential workout gear like dumbbells,
so there shouldn't be any issues getting a workout in.
And on the very top floor, there's a swimming pool.
Its size isn't ideal for swimming laps,
but it was absolutely perfect for enjoying the unobstructed ocean view.
Today, I introduced Hotel Draco & Suites, a great option for those arriving in Da Nang late at night
to use for a short overnight stay.
Although I mentioned it as a value-for-money hotel for a short overnight stay,
thanks to its excellent room condition and prime location in An Thượng,
it felt like a hotel that would be perfectly fine for an extended stay.
Therefore, I'd recommend this hotel not just for those truly planning a short overnight stay,
but also for value-conscious travelers looking for an extended stay
who want to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of An Thượng street and enjoy Da Nang's local charm.
If you come and experience it in person, rather than just seeing photos,
you'll be able to feel the deeper charm of the An Thượng area,
and truly appreciate the advantages of this hotel right in its heart!
