Did you know you can enjoy an onsen in Osaka
and there's accommodation really close to Dotonbori?!
If I had known, I would have stayed there during my last family trip.
It's such a shame I didn't!
A place that has it all: great location, a grand public bath (onsen), and amazing value for money?
That would be Hotel Dormy Inn Premium Namba!
I'll share my stay review and the latest booking information!

1. How Close is the Location?
📍 Dotonbori

📍 Dormy Inn Premium Namba
2-chōme-14-23 Shimanouchi, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0082, Japan
As you can see from the map, it's just
a 5-10 minute walk from Dotonbori to Dormy Inn Premium Namba,
making it an ideal distance for travelers.
What's more, when doing a bus tour, you don't need to wake up early
because it's close to Tsurutontan, the main meeting point.
It was incredibly convenient!
(Perfect for kids or family trips; the location is unbeatable!)

Just like most accommodations, check-in was at 3 PM,
and check-out was at 11 AM.
There were also Korean-speaking staff members,
so I had no trouble checking in.
2. Why I Chose This Accommodation

Why choose Dormy Inn Premium Namba? |
1. The location is super convenient, close to Dotonbori, Don Quijote, Namba, and more, making travel a breeze. |
2. I could stay for an excellent value, costing around ~$55-69 per night. |
3. I got to enjoy the grand public bath, free late-night snack service (ramen, ice cream, etc.), and a delicious breakfast. |
Satisfying all three reasons and offering such great value, this is a place I'd
definitely revisit 200%!
When I went to check in, the lobby was spacious,
and there was a comfortable waiting area.
On the second floor, you'll find a restaurant and the natural hot spring grand bath,
perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

This time, I was traveling solo,
so I booked a smaller room.
But it was actually bigger than I expected, which I loved!
If you'd prefer a larger room,
you can get a much more spacious one for just ~$7-14 extra, so keep that in mind!
Inside the room, there was a bed, a table, a chair, and a TV.
There was also a refrigerator, and by the sink, a hairdryer
and amenities, so I didn't need to bring my own.

What I loved most was that the room was further divided by a sliding door,
making it feel even cozier for a solo traveler.
The room was spacious enough that I could
comfortably spread out my suitcase.

Also, the toilet and shower were separate,
and there was a sink in the hallway outside,
making it convenient for a quick wash.

Inside the shower, there was shampoo, body wash, and conditioner.
Pajamas were also provided, so I didn't need to bring much,
allowing me to pack light.

Additionally, in the fridge, there are two bottles of mineral water and
pudding is also provided, which is deliciously sweet and sour!
It's so comfortable and spacious with a great location,
and you can use the communal bathhouse,
and the price allows you to stay for ~$55-~$69,
making it perfect for value-for-money accommodation!
Trip.com | Agoda | Hotels.com |
~$78 | ~$59 | ~$67 |
I compared prices across different dates and booking sites,
and Agoda turned out to be the cheapest,
so I booked through Agoda!
I compared all the other dates too,
and Agoda was consistently the clear winner in terms of price!
Since it's a popular spot, it tends to sell out quickly,
so if you've decided on your travel dates,
I recommend booking your accommodation early.
3. Hot Springs, Sauna, and Amenities
Dormy Inn Namba Premium is
one of those beloved places because it offers excellent hot springs, sauna, and breakfast.

After enjoying the hot springs, ice cream and yogurt,
and even ramen for a late-night snack were provided for free.

And for breakfast, it wasn't just simple bread,
but the fact that you could enjoy a neatly prepared Japanese home-style meal
was absolutely wonderful!
To be able to enjoy such amenities at this price
was simply unbelievable!

Additionally, with manga comics, a microwave, and various other amenities and entertainment options,
I really wanted to recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in Osaka!
