A 2-Day, 1-Night Family Trip
Date of Visit: July 17, 2026

Hi there!
I'm Nabongsun, your go-to travel influencer.
During a summer filled with lush, vibrant green vibes,
a long holiday weekend kicked off, so I headed out with my parents and my middle schooler son
on a 2-day, 1-night trip to Jecheon and Danyang in Chungcheongbuk-do.
Since it was the first day of a long holiday, booking a popular pension or
resort in Chungbuk was incredibly tough.
So, searching for a budget-friendly and cozy Danyang stay,
I found a hidden gem nestled right next to a refreshing valley stream:
Danyang Sol Pension.

With beautiful flowers filling up the yard
and a crystal-clear valley stream flowing right behind the property,
it was absolutely perfect for a summer family getaway.
From the location and views to the room condition,
let me share my lovely experience spending a day at this Danyang valley pension!
1. Location of This Cozy Chungbuk Stay

Sol Pension is a Danyang accommodation nestled in the gorgeous nature of Chungcheongbuk-do.
It's the perfect spot to escape the city, listen to the soothing sound of the stream in the woods,

If you step out through the back door of the building,
you'll see the Daegacheon Bicycle Path right away.
I saw a few people riding bikes and taking leisurely walks.
The stream flows right next to the path, and because it isn't deep,
it was the perfect spot to splash around with my kid.
It's truly a great family-friendly pension for a 2-day getaway.

The room we stayed in was quite spacious at 72m² (Room 2).
During the regular season,
you can book it for around ~$96 per night.

so be sure to take a look!
2. Room Condition

To be honest, we were originally planning a trip to Gangwon-do that weekend,
but because of the long holiday, everything was fully booked.
After searching endlessly, we found this wonderful Chungbuk pension!

Since there weren't many reviews and it looked a bit aged,
I was a bit worried, especially since I was traveling with three generations, including my parents.
But those worries melted away the moment we arrived!
While the decor has a rustic, countryside charm,
the owners (a lovely elderly couple) were incredibly warm and welcoming.
The property is filled with beautiful blooming flowers and growing fruit trees,
giving it a cozy, heartwarming, and comforting vibe
that we all loved.

Even though the room has a slightly old-school vibe,
it was spotlessly clean, which made our stay
incredibly comfortable and hassle-free.
For Room 2, as soon as you step inside, you are greeted by a surprisingly spacious
foyer and shoe storage area.
As soon as you slide open the door,
the living room and kitchen come into view all at once.

The kitchen featured a decent-sized refrigerator and sink.
The pots, dishes, and cutlery were clean and well-stocked,
making it perfect if you want to buy some snacks
or ingredients for a simple meal.
There’s also a rice cooker, so you can
bring some rice along.
However, bottled water isn't provided,
so I highly recommend grabbing plenty of water
when you go grocery shopping beforehand.
There’s also a floor-seating table, which is great for
sitting around with a group to chat over a drink,
or just relaxing while watching TV.

There's a cozy sofa too, making it a comfortable spot
to sit back and chat.

Since it's a loft-style layout, you can head up the wooden stairs
next to the sofa to reach a cozy second-floor space.
Two of us slept in the living room and two in the bedroom,
so we didn't end up using the loft.

The bedroom had a comfortable bed,
along with a closet and hangers ready for use.

There was plenty of extra bedding in the closet,
which was super convenient.

Though the bathroom interior had a slightly rustic, country feel,
every corner was kept sparkling clean.
I loved it, and the hot water ran perfectly.
They provide shower towels, shampoo, body wash, and toothpaste,
but you'll need to bring your own toothbrush!
3. Garden Flower-Gazing and Creek Splashing

My mom saying she likes it better than a 5-star hotel
We booked this place in a hurry without knowing much about it,
but the plants everywhere were so beautifully nurtured
that it felt like a tiny botanical garden. It was such a charming stay in Chungbuk.

Right in front of our room, there was a quince tree.
Hanging in heavy clusters above the house of Kong-i,
the gentle and adorable resident dog, were beautiful grapes.

Crape myrtles and various nameless wildflowers
were in full bloom everywhere.
My mom absolutely loved
this charming pension.

Seeing the owner continuously tending to the garden—
morning and night, and even when it was raining—
made me truly admire their dedication.

Living up to its reputation as a Chungbuk pension with a valley,
the Daegacheon Stream comes into view the moment you open the yard gate.

You can just dip your feet in,
but there are also spots that go up to an adult's waist,
making it perfect for floating around on a tube.
My son, who is always serious about fishing,
brought along some basic gear and had a blast
catching minnows in the Daegacheon stream.

During our 2-day, 1-night trip to Danyang (which included Jecheon),
my son said that splashing around and fishing in this creek
was his absolute favorite part. It made for
some truly unforgettable memories!

The backyard connects right to the Daegacheon Bicycle Path,
so we could take a late-night stroll with my parents along the beautifully lit trail.
It was such a healing experience and turned out way better than we ever expected—
definitely a family-friendly pension we’d love to visit again!

It absolutely poured rain during the night,
but with the AC blasting, we stayed perfectly cool and dry.
We slept so soundly! Even though it’s a cozy, forest-embraced cabin in Chungcheongbuk-do,
we didn’t run into
a single bug during our entire stay.
4. A Cozy and Relaxing Danyang Valley Pension

Look at Kong's face reacting to my son's pets!
Since we planned this holiday getaway so last-minute,
our big family headed to this Danyang accommodation
with a mix of worry and excitement.
But it turned out to be a massive success! It felt just like visiting a cozy countryside home,
wrapped in a warm, nostalgic charm. We could truly feel the genuine hospitality
and care of the lovely owner couple
throughout our stay at this Danyang pension.

Plus, with the crystal-clear valley stream flowing right in front of the property,
it served as the perfect fishing spot and mini water playground
for my middle-school son.

While it might not be a fancy, ultra-modern resort,
the sparkling clean rooms and the pure healing power of nature
allowed all three generations of our family to bring home the happiest memories.
It was the ultimate spot for our 2-day, 1-night trip to Jecheon and Danyang!
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, nature-filled,
and cozy valley getaway in Danyang, Chungcheongbuk-do,
I highly recommend the Danyang Sol Pension.
