At the end of this exceptionally hot summer,

my friend's couple and I were looking for a quiet

Danyang-Jecheon accommodation where we could relax and have fun!

During peak season weekends, pension prices often

double or even triple their usual rates,

but the place I found,

Jecheon The Pine Hill Pension,

has the same room rate of ~$109

for weekdays and weekends, off-peak and peak seasons alike,

so we could book without any hesitation!👏

1. Location & Exterior

Jecheon The Pine Hill Pension is located

about a 20-minute drive from Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex

and Cheongpung Lake Cable Car!

It's about 12km, but it's a mountain road,

so it takes a little longer!

We toured all the tourist spots around Cheongpung Lake

and even stopped by the mart before checking in at 2 PM.

Since it's a bit far from the city center,

I recommend planning your movements this way!

Parking is available right at the pension entrance!

There are enough parking spaces for each room,

so we could park comfortably with plenty of room.

It was also close to our room,

making it easy to unload our luggage!

However, there are no convenience stores or marts nearby.

The closest Hanaro Mart is about a 20-minute drive away,

so we made sure to stock up on plenty of BBQ food and snacks

before heading to the accommodation!

2. Room Interior - Building B, Room 203

The room I used was

Building B, Room 203!

It's a studio-style space with a queen-size bed,

a bathroom right by the entrance,

and a kitchen and dining table on the left.

The headboard had a space where you could place your phone or glasses.

It was surprisingly useful because I could leave my phone there while charging it.

Aside from a small hanger, there was hardly any unnecessary furniture,

leaving enough space to even open two suitcases.

The bedding was also neatly arranged,

so I rested comfortably without any discomfort during my stay.

Just a heads-up, even though it's a duplex room,

the ladder to the upper floor was quite steep,

so we actually didn't end up using it!

From our room window, we had a lovely view of the central swimming pool.

Stepping out onto the mini-terrace, you get a full panoramic view of who's playing where –

it seemed super convenient for families with kids to keep an eye on everything!

Two couples from our group visited together,

and we each booked rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors of the same building.

It was perfect for relaxing comfortably yet still being close enough for a fun BBQ gathering,

so I highly recommend it for couple getaways!

3. Amenities & Facilities

At The Pine Hill Pension,

the guest rooms wrap around the central swimming pool.

The close proximity between the rooms and the pool

makes it an ideal setup for enjoying water activities in the summer.

Just turn around, and your room is right there!

For the first-floor rooms,

there are these charming wooden bench tables right outside,

where you can have a BBQ, and

there's also a separate all-season BBQ area available.

After booking two rooms,

we asked if it would be okay to gather and have our BBQ on the first floor.

The owner graciously said yes and even helped us set everything up right on time, so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves!

4. Overall Review / Discount Link

The rooms were spacious and spotless, and having both a swimming pool and a BBQ area was fantastic.

But what really stood out was how incredibly kind the owner was –

the value for money was definitely five stars!

I'd wholeheartedly recommend it not just for family trips with kids,

but also for friends or couples looking for a peaceful escape.

I'm 100% planning to revisit on my next trip to Jecheon!.

The fact that the price doesn't go up during peak season or weekends,

staying the same for both weekdays and weekends,

was a huge factor in choosing this accommodation!!
