Danyang Paragliding Review 2026: An Unforgettable Korean Adventure

It feels like forever since I last penned down a travel tale, but here we are! As soon as winter break kicked off, my friends and I were itching for an adventure. Our destination of choice? Danyang!

Honestly, Danyang wasn't just any destination; it was specifically chosen because of one thing: paragliding. Think of it as the tail wagging the dog, or maybe the paragliding was the main event and everything else was just a bonus! I guess I'm a bit rusty with my idioms, but you get the idea. I was totally inspired by the K-drama <Crash Landing on You> and dreamt of my own epic landing. While my Danyang trip was packed with memories, I want to focus on that incredible paragliding experience.

Danyang is famous for its numerous paragliding spots, and we chose a place called <Para Village>.

Right away, we were greeted by an adorable furry friend!

This is 'Baram' (which means 'Wind' in Korean)! Isn't he just the cutest? He was so friendly and well-behaved, charming us instantly!

After a quick sign-off on the necessary waivers (standard safety stuff!), we suited up in our bright green gear and were matched with our tandem instructors. Before I knew it, we were ready to soar!

I'm usually not great with rides, and heights can make me pretty nervous. I even told my instructor how scared I was, but he was so confident, assuring me I'd love it once we were up there. And guess what? He was absolutely right! It was an absolute blastㅠㅠ

Seriously, one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I felt like a flying squirrel!

Up in the sky, the cool wind rushing past my face felt incredibly liberating. It was like all the stress and worries I'd carried for years just melted away, leaving me feeling completely refreshed!

We floated through the air for about 5-7 glorious minutes before gently descending. No 'crash landing' for me, but it was an unforgettable experience nonetheless!

After landing, we grabbed a photo with 'Baram'.

And of course, a group shot with my amazing friends!

And plenty of solo shots to make the most of the epic views!

So, that's how I checked 'fly in the sky' (paragliding!) off my bucket list! What an incredible achievement. Huge thanks to my friends for making this unforgettable memory possible! ٩( ᐛ )و
