'Family vs. Premium Family' Rooms: What's the Difference?

I originally booked the Family Ocean View room,
but thanks to a wonderful surprise at check-in,
we got upgraded to the Premium Family Ocean View!
To be honest, looking at the photos online,
I couldn't really tell the difference between the two,
but the actual room size is on a whole different level.
✅ Family Ocean View: 70 m² (approx. 753 sq. ft.)
✅ Premium Family Ocean View: 85 m² (approx. 915 sq. ft.)
The Premium room is significantly larger,
which meant our family of four had plenty of space to stretch out
and relax without ever feeling cramped.
A Closer Look Inside
The Premium Family Ocean View Room

1 King Bed + 2 Single Beds
This setup was absolutely perfect for a family of four like us
to get a wonderful, cozy night's sleep.

All Rooms Feature Ocean Views & Bidets
(An absolute game-changer! 👍)

Double Vanities
With two sinks,
our family of four had zero morning rush hour traffic in the bathroom!

Plenty of Towels & Amenities
They provide everything down to toothbrushes,
so you really only need to pack your personal facial cleanser.

Balcony Jacuzzi
You can enjoy a relaxing soak while gazing out at the ocean.
(Though if you only stay for one night like we did, you might struggle to find the time to use it...)

Yukata
They provide Japanese yukatas in various sizes in the room.
They are absolutely perfect to throw on when walking to and from the pool.
Our daughter loved trying hers on and wearing it around!

Complimentary Minibar
Four bottles of water, beers, and soft drinks in the fridge are all completely free!

💡 Pro Tip for Getting Around!
Since the main lobby at Mikazuki is located on the 4th floor,
you won't really need to visit it except during check-in and check-out.
There are multiple elevators throughout the building,
so we barely ever ran into other guests or had to wait.
Just throw a yukata over your swimsuit right in your room,
and head straight down to the 1st-floor water park
or up to the 22nd-floor infinity pool!
No Outside Food Allowed?
Enjoying Dinner via Room Service

While some travelers try to order
food delivery to the resort,
please note that bringing outside food and drinks into the resort is strictly prohibited.
They clearly state that an extra cleaning fee
will be charged if you do, so keep that in mind!
To keep things simple and stress-free, we decided
to go with room service for dinner.
📌 How to Order Room Service

Just scan the QR code in your room
to easily order on your mobile device!

We ordered the shrimp fried rice and vegetable fried rice,
and they weren't overly spiced at all.
They were super delicious, and even the kids loved them!
Highly recommended if you're traveling with little ones!
Free Water Play for Guests

The absolute best part of Mikazuki
is that you can splash around in the water all day long.
I've put together a handy table
outlining the access rules for each pool area!
Category | Access / Fee | Hours | Highlights |
22nd Floor Infinity Pool | Guests Only (Free) | 06:00 ~ 22:00 | Features a 0.35m kids' pool and a 38°C mineral hot spring |
Outdoor Water Park | Free for Guests | 09:00 ~ 18:00 | Lazy river, Mt. Fuji pool, and giant water playground |
Indoor Water Park & Hot Springs | Paid (Optional booking) | 09:00 - 19:00 | Giant slides, wave pool, and outdoor hot springs |
22nd Floor Infinity Pool

After checking in, we had a blast at the indoor water park,
and headed up to the infinity pool after dinner.

Even though we couldn't see the vast ocean view since it was nighttime,
the vibe was absolutely incredible.

When you start feeling a bit chilly,
soaking in the 38°C mineral hot spring
completely melts away your fatigue.

There's also a dedicated kids' pool (0.35m) for the little ones.
Outdoor Water Park

Mikazuki has a check-in at 3 PM and check-out at 12 PM,
giving you plenty of time on your departure day.
Thanks to that, we squeezed in one last splash session at the outdoor water park
right before checking out.
Talk about getting our money's worth!
Room-Only Booking
vs
Water Park Inclusive Option

We went with the 'Water Park Inclusive Option' this time,
but I think I'd just book the room next time.
The outdoor water park and infinity pool,
which are free for all guests,
offered more than enough fun!
But wait!
1. It's your first time visiting Danang Mikazuki Resort
2. You're staying for 2 or more nights
3. You're visiting during the rainy season or peak summer
If any of these apply to you,
I highly recommend booking the water park package.

A ticket for the Danang Mikazuki Indoor Water Park
costs around ~$19 per adult during peak season,
so picking the water park package at booking
is a much better deal.

If you're planning a trip to Da Nang with kids,
I highly recommend giving this place a visit!

📍 Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa
Nguyễn Tất Thành, Hải Vân, Đà Nẵng 55000, Vietnam
The Family Ocean View room is approximately 70 sqm, while the Premium Family Ocean View room is 85 sqm, making a difference in room size. If a family of four is staying together, choosing the Premium room will allow for a more spacious and relaxing stay.
Bringing outside food and beverages into the resort is strictly prohibited, and a cleaning fee may be charged if you do so. If you need a meal, you can easily order room service using the QR code provided in your room.
Guests can use the 22nd-floor infinity pool from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and the outdoor water park from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for free. However, the indoor water park and hot springs operate from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and must be purchased as paid options.
The 22nd-floor infinity pool features a children's pool with a depth of 0.35m, allowing toddlers to safely enjoy playing in the water. In addition, a 38-degree mineral hot spring bath is available, which is great for keeping your body warm while swimming.
If it is your first visit to the resort, you are staying for 2 or more nights, or traveling during the rainy season, we recommend booking an option that includes the indoor water park. During peak season, an adult admission ticket to the indoor water park costs ~$19, so including it as an option when booking is more cost-effective.
