Da Nang Mikazuki Resort Review: Family Waterpark Fun

If you're heading to Da Nang with kids,

instead of sightseeing every single day,

I highly recommend spending a whole day relaxing at the resort.

From a water park and hot springs to an infinity pool and an amazing breakfast,

we ran out of time even after playing all day long!

This magical place is none other than the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa.

Why We Chose Mikazuki as Our Da Nang Resort

While there are so many incredible 5-star resorts in Da Nang,

our main reasons for choosing Mikazuki

were the "heated pools" and the "endless activities."

We visited Da Nang in March 2026.

Even though Da Nang is in Southeast Asia,

it can actually get a bit chilly during the winter/shoulder months,

so having a heated pool was our absolute top priority.

(Though I'm sure it's scorching hot there right now! haha)

Also, while most other resorts only offer a basic pool

where you splash around for an hour or two and call it a day,

Mikazuki has so many different facilities that you can easily spend

an entire day inside the resort without ever getting bored.

Our perfect day went something like this:

Have a delicious breakfast in the morning,

head down to the beach and the kids' playground,

grab lunch right inside the resort,

spend the afternoon splashing around at the water park,

unwind by the infinity pool,

and wrap up the day with a satisfying dinner on-site.

Without even needing to step foot in the city center,

our day was completely packed,

and because our little one was constantly entertained,

we as parents got to actually relax!

Mikazuki Deluxe Ocean View

We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View room on the 15th floor.

As soon as we opened the door, the very first thought that popped into my head was:

"Wow, this is incredibly spacious!"

Even with two large suitcases completely laid out, there was still plenty of walkway space left,

and our child kept running around the room without it ever feeling cramped.

The floors were tiled rather than carpeted, which felt very clean and hygienic.

However, if kids run around with wet feet after swimming,

it can get a bit slippery. If you’re traveling with toddlers,

this is definitely something to keep an eye on!

The balcony was equipped with sunbeds and a private jacuzzi.

With no tall buildings blocking the front, the view felt completely open and serene.

Filling it up with warm water for a soak in the evening

completely melted away all the fatigue from a full day of swimming!

Our trip also happened to overlap with my husband's birthday.

I left a note in the special requests when booking,

and they beautifully prepared a birthday cake and flower decorations in our room!

We had twin beds, but they were surprisingly easy to move.

We pushed them together to make a giant bed and put our child in the middle,

which made sleeping so much comfier for everyone.

You can request bed guards,

but we found pushing the beds together like this worked perfectly for us!

Inside the wardrobe, we found Yukatas (Japanese-style robes), slippers, and a safety deposit box.

There was also plenty of space to hang up our swimsuits and rash guards to dry.

Since Da Nang tends to be quite humid,

I highly recommend requesting a dehumidifier!

We sent an email requesting one before our arrival,

and they had it set up in our room beforehand.

There were plenty of power outlets scattered all over the place, from right next to the bed to the desk.

The bathroom has double sinks,

so we could both get ready without waiting around,

and the shower and toilet are completely separate,

which made the layout super convenient for washing up the little one.

Basic amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste are all set,

so you really only need to pack your kids' personal items.

While the room itself was highly satisfying,

you do end up taking the buggy quite often to get to the beach.

During peak hours, we sometimes had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes,

which was a tiny bit of a bummer.

If you're planning a trip down to the beach,

I'd recommend calling for a buggy in advance to cut down on waiting time!

The Water Park

One of the biggest reasons

we booked Mikazuki in the first place was the water park!

With the indoor and outdoor areas seamlessly connected,

you can still have a blast even if it rains. And if the sun gets too intense,

you can easily head indoors—such a huge plus!

The lazy river has nice, warm water,

so we had a wonderful time just floating around on tubes

for hours.

The indoor section also features a wave pool, slides,

and a dedicated kids' zone,

so there’s absolutely zero chance of getting bored all day long!

There was this super fun-looking slide,

but since pregnant women aren't allowed to ride it,

I had to just watch from afar. So sad... ㅠ

In the evening, we headed straight up to the 22nd-floor heated infinity pool!

We went up right around sunset,

and with the cool breeze and warm water, it was the absolute perfect setup to hang out for a long time.

Whenever the little one got a bit chilly from swimming,

we’d hop into the jacuzzi to warm up,

and then jump back into the infinity pool. Repeat, repeat—

we completely lost track of time!

I saw some reviews worrying about the crowds,

but the pool area is actually incredibly spacious,

so we could enjoy it comfortably without bumping into anyone else!

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the 3rd floor of the resort.

You simply tag your room key wristband to enter.

There’s a wide variety of Korean, Vietnamese, and Western dishes,

so if you’re traveling with kids,

you won't have to stress at all about finding something they'll love.

From fresh pho and banh mi to Korean staples like kimchi, soup, and even tteokbokki,

everything is beautifully prepared.

I think parents or older family members would be highly satisfied here, too.

The fruit and bakery sections were also quite diverse,

and the stations were laid out so well

that it never felt overly crowded even during busier times.
