Planning a splurge in Danang? Our 2026 review of the Intercontinental Sun Peninsula reveals luxurious ocean view rooms, stunning pools, and a truly unforgettable stay.

My trip to Da Nang with a friend was less about sightseeing, and more about
really relaxing at the accommodation for a day!! So, I
decided to splurge and booked the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
Honestly, when I first saw the price,
I thought, "This price for one night in Da Nang...?" hahaha

But once I stayed there myself, everything from the room, breakfast, and pool to the private beach
made the resort feel like a destination in itself!!
Since we were friends, we wanted separate beds,
so we **opted for a Classic Ocean View room with two Queen beds.**
1. Location and Check-in
The InterContinental Danang is
located on the inner side of the Son Tra Peninsula.
It's about 13 km from Da Nang International Airport,
so it's not a location you'd casually pop in and out of like a city hotel.
(But hey, Grab in Da Nang is affordable~!)

We initially planned to go into the city,
but once we were there, we just ended up staying and enjoying the resort haha
Check-in is at 3 PM,
and check-out is at 12 PM.
The resort is incredibly spacious,
so we often used buggies to get around to our room or the pool.
2. Classic Ocean View Room Review

We used a
Classic Ocean View room with two Queen beds.
When traveling with friends, it's definitely
more comfortable to have two beds than one King bed hahaha

When we entered the room, I was surprised by how spacious it was,
and the bathroom was also roomy, making it easy for both of us to get ready.
What was best of all was the ocean view!!

Looking out from the terrace, you see more of the sea and nature
stretching out before you than buildings,
so just sitting there with a coffee in the morning
really gave us that perfect 'hotel-cation' vibe.
Currently, the same room type, including breakfast,
starts from **~$525.**

3. Price Comparison

The prices at the InterContinental can vary quite a bit depending on the room type!
Here's a price comparison for the Classic Ocean View room
I stayed in~!
Yeogi Eottae | Agoda | MyRealTrip |
~$525 | ~$770 | ~$555 |
Currently, a Panoramic Ocean View King Room starts from **~$510,**
and an Ocean View Terrace Suite
was available from **~$519.**

What surprised me was that **the price difference between a standard room and a suite**
**isn't as significant as I thought on some dates!!**
So, when I book,
I don't just look at the Classic rooms; I also check the Terrace Suites.
Club rooms start from around **~$663,**
and pool villas are **over ~$690,** so the price jumps up significantly.

And since this resort is also eligible for a best price guarantee,
if you find the same conditions cheaper elsewhere,
I always make sure to check for price difference compensation too, haha.
(You can get double the price difference compensated!!)

4. How to Book with Discounts
Currently, as a standard,
a 7% discount coupon was being applied.
But since one night was over ~$483,
I don't just stop at the basic discount.

First, I check for seasonal overseas accommodation coupons like the 'Around the World with Discounts' promotion,
and if the conditions are met, I also grab up to 15% off.

Next, I check if the Overseas Accommodation Coupon Pack
and Elite Coupon can be stacked.

Lastly, my routine is to even check for payment method discounts
like Toss Pay, haha!

5. Pools and Kids Club

What I loved most here was
the pools and the private beach.
Swimming, lounging, then heading back to the ocean...
I genuinely didn't even feel like leaving the resort, haha!

There's a family pool and a children's pool,
and a free Kids Club, making it seem great for family trips too.
If you're going with friends, like we did,
just spending a whole day at the pools and beach was the absolute best.
6. Citron Breakfast & Restaurant

At the Citron restaurant,
it's available from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The on-site price is approximately 850,000 VND per person.
(That's about ~$31!)
Our room included breakfast, so we enjoyed it conveniently,
and I would definitely recommend adding breakfast here.

While the food was great,
the sea view from the famous outdoor tables was truly stunning.
There are several restaurants within the resort,
and 24-hour room service is also available.

7. Summary

Having stayed there myself with a friend,
I can say that InterContinental Da Nang Peninsula
While it is a bit pricey, for those who want to spend all day enjoying the resort,
it was a hotel where spending the money felt totally worth it.

If you're two friends like us,
the Classic Ocean View with two Queen beds was super comfortable,
and if the price difference isn't too big,
I would definitely compare up to the Terrace Suite.
If I ever go back, rather than just one night,
I'd book two nights and truly just relax and do absolutely nothing, haha!
