Da Nang Resort Recommendation: Hyatt Regency
A review of the rooms, pool, and breakfast!

I've been to Da Nang many times, but this was my first stay at the Da Nang Hyatt Regency. And let me tell you, I couldn't stop thinking, 'Why did I wait so long to come here?!' It was an absolutely incredible stay!
The pool is massive, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. By my standards, it's a Da Nang accommodation that truly ticks all the boxes; plus, with options ranging from hotel rooms to private pool villas, it offers a wide array of choices, perfect for anything from a friends' getaway to a family vacation.
I'll dive into the details, from the garden view room I booked to the fantastic pool and, of course, the breakfast. Spoiler alert: I would absolutely, 100% go back!!!
Da Nang Hyatt Regency Garden View Twin Room
This was the room type I pondered over the most when booking.
On one hand, since I was already visiting a resort, I really wanted an ocean view. But then I thought, 'I won't be in the room much anyway, so why splurge?' After much deliberation, I opted for the most budget-friendly option.

It was a Garden View (=Courtyard View) Twin Room. If you book without breakfast, it's typically around ~$148, and with breakfast included, it's around ~$148 to ~$185.
After my stay, I can confidently say I was perfectly happy even without an ocean view! Even though it was a garden view, it felt like a lush, green garden overlooking the pool, and it truly exuded that resort vibe, which I absolutely loved.
Just a heads-up: if you're debating whether to include breakfast, I highly recommend going for it. I'll tell you more about it below :)

The first thing I said upon entering was, 'Wow, it's huge!' Even the most affordable room is 40m2, making it perfectly comfortable for two people without feeling cramped at all!

Inside the room, you'll find everything from an electric kettle, cups, and wine glasses, to bottled water.
Just a note: the mini-bar items in the fridge are chargeable, and they're not exactly cheap, so I recommend buying your drinks beforehand or ordering delivery!

The twin room had two single beds, which were surprisingly spacious, and the bedding was crisp and fresh, without that typical Southeast Asian humidity, so I was really pleased! :)
Also, the pillows weren't too high, which was perfect for me, and the bed was so comfortable – I truly slept like a baby.
When you're traveling with little ones, the floor is usually something you worry about, right? But here, it's not carpeted, so there's no dust, and it felt incredibly clean – a huge plus!

The sofa next to the beds is also super spacious, and the table is large, making it absolutely perfect for ordering in and enjoying some delicious delivery food!
Most of the popular delivery restaurants in the city center can deliver here. While many Da Nang resorts tend to be a bit further from the city, the Hyatt is only about a 20-minute drive from Han Market and My Khe Beach, so it didn't feel far at all.
Even beer can be delivered, so I skipped the mini-bar entirely and just ordered everything!

The luggage storage area is also super spacious! Robes, an iron, slippers, a safe – it truly had everything you'd expect from a 5-star resort.

The bathroom size? Honestly, it felt like a palace! Haha! With two separate sinks, getting ready was a breeze, and there were plenty of towels, plus a huge bathing area – I was completely satisfied!
Plus, there was a handy clothesline near the bathtub,
which was so convenient for washing and drying our swimsuits
after splashing around at the private beach or the pool.

Honestly, with the pool right outside, we didn't end up using
the sofa and table on our patio much.
But I did see plenty of other global explorers relaxing there!
Da Nang Hyatt Regency Pool
Now, one thing that might be on your mind, especially if you're visiting in winter,
is that the pool isn't heated.
I found it a bit chilly at first, but honestly, I got used to it quicker than I expected!
If you're traveling with little ones and absolutely need a heated pool,
I'd recommend checking out Shilla Monogram Da Nang, a resort I visited before,
which also boasts fantastic facilities :)

The Hyatt's pool complex is built around that iconic photo zone you often see,
with the pools extending beautifully on either side.
Even on a slightly cloudy day, the view stretching from the pool all the way to the ocean
was absolutely breathtaking, so taking at least one photo here is an absolute must! 😉

The pool depth seemed to be around 1.3 meters (about 4.3 feet),
making it absolutely perfect for both adults and children to splash around in!
The slide looked incredibly fun, but it wasn't operating yet when we were there early in the morning,
which was a slight bummer!

Closer to the ocean, there's even a lovely sandy area,
where I saw kids happily building sandcastles!
Simply sitting there and soaking it all in was pure healing.

They even offer free sand play tools and sturdy tubes,
which made for an absolute blast!
Honestly, just lazily floating around on a tube was pure joy. Haha!

Both the private beach and the pool offer complimentary towels,
and watching the sunrise or sunset from the beach, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, is absolutely delightful.
Da Nang Hyatt Regency: Pricing & Booking Tips
What made the experience even better was the incredibly reasonable pricing!
The standard room I stayed in was available in the low to mid ~$150s - ~$180s,
and even ocean view rooms can be booked for around ~$185 - ~$220.

Da Nang Hyatt Regency: A Breakfast Feast!
Honestly, I didn't have super high expectations for breakfast...?
But wow, it turned out to be an absolute culinary delight! I ate so incredibly well!

First off, the restaurant's interior, designed like a beautiful garden, was absolutely stunning!
While it's not where breakfast is served, I discovered that the Pool House restaurant
is actually ranked #2 on Trip.com's list of best restaurants in Da Nang!
I was so bummed I didn't get to try it this time, so it's definitely on my list for my next visit!

You know, it's actually quite rare to find places that serve mango for breakfast, right?
I could really have as much mango as I wanted!
As soon as we sat down, they asked what drinks we'd like,
and they even made the coffee and brought it directly to our table, which was super convenient.
And of course, Vietnamese coffee was available too, haha!

At the egg station, if you tell them what you want,
they'll bring that right to your table too!
Not just omelets and sunny-side-ups, but even Eggs Benedict!
The variety was so impressive, it felt like having a full brunch.

The mango sticky rice was incredibly delicious, and the bakery items were fantastic too...
Honestly, the breakfast spread was so good that if you love having a great breakfast while traveling,
I think you'll be completely satisfied with this quality!

The Hyatt was so wonderful that I truly regretted only staying for one night this time.
Among the resorts, it's also quite close to My Khe Beach,
and the staff were so friendly that it left me with a strong feeling of wanting to stay longer next time :)
If you're looking for a resort in Da Nang, I absolutely highly recommend it, haha!
