Da Nang, which I visited two weeks ago,
had such a scorching midday sun that
outdoor activities were practically impossible.
This summer,
for a worry-free and fun getaway,
let me introduce you to Da Nang Mikazuki Water Park.
I'll cover everything from the operating hours many of you are curious about,
dress code rules, like hats and aqua shoes,
to the best booking sites where you can snag tickets at a great price.

Mikazuki Water Park Dress Code
To get straight to the point:
While hats and aqua shoes aren't strictly mandatory,
I highly recommend bringing them along!
Unlike in Korea, where you might need a swimming cap or baseball cap
to cover your hair,
here it's perfectly fine if you don't wear a hat.
And even in the indoor water park,
you're welcome to walk around barefoot.
However!
When you're moving between areas in the outdoor water park,
the ground gets incredibly hot under the sun.
Plus, the outdoor water park has no shade...
If you're only planning to use the indoor facilities, no worries,
but if you're venturing outdoors, hats and aqua shoes
are definitely recommended!
Of course, in the water park and hot spring areas,
you'll need to wear a swimsuit or rash guard, but
clothing with zippers wasn't allowed.
Just in case, I had my daughter wear a regular swimsuit
instead of a zippered rash guard.

📌 Recommended Route
When you enter and need to change clothes, use the 1st floor.
After you've finished all your water activities,
head to the 4th-floor sauna (bathhouse)
where towels are provided, so you can properly wash up.
How to Make the Most of Mikazuki Waterpark
Free Rentals
Life vests and adult single/double tubes
are all available for free use,
and sunbeds also come with no usage fee.
However, there's no equipment to inflate tubes, and the tubes are quite large,
so if you have young children,
make sure to bring your own tubes or neck vests.
For children around 120cm tall,
the provided tubes can be too big.
Cash is Essential
The wristbands for payment at the 1st-floor food court
can only be recharged with cash.
Otherwise, for payments,
you'll have to carry your card with you.
Any remaining balance on your wristband
must be refunded before 6:30 PM,
so keep an eye on the time and don't forget before you leave!
Indoor & Outdoor Attractions and Hot Springs
Indoor Waterpark 365
Elementary school-aged kids
had a blast going around the wave pool, lazy river, and kids' pool.
The Kids' Pool facilities
are comparable to water playgrounds you'd find back home,
The artificial Wave Pool gets deeper as you go further in,
so keep a close eye on your children.
Just letting myself float along the Lazy River, which goes both indoors and outdoors,
and drifting on the water was
so incredibly relaxing!
The Hyper Slide and Dragon Slide
are water rides that adults can enjoy too.
Hyper Slide (High-Speed Slide)
✔ Height Restriction
Riders under 1.2m or over 1.9m are restricted.
✔ Weight Restriction
Riders under 40kg or over 90kg are restricted.
Dragon Slide (Dragon-Shaped Slide)
✔ Height & Weight Restriction
Children under 1.2m or under 30kg cannot use this slide.
✔ Companion Riding Standard
Children between 1.2m ~ 1.4m / weighing 30kg ~ 40kg
must be accompanied by a guardian to ride.
4th Floor Open-Air Hot Spring
This is a mineral hot spring where swimsuit attire is mandatory.
While it's a bit smaller than I expected,
the ambiance was lovely and it wasn't crowded,
making it perfect for unwinding after a day of travel.
Please remind children in the hot springs not to run around
and to be quiet.
Outdoor Waterpark
When you step outside,
your eyes will immediately be drawn to the massive pirate ship pool.
Kids are drawn to it as if hypnotized!
Haha!
There are seven diverse slides,
and adults are welcome to jump in and play along!
While the lazy river is a bit on the slower side,
being in the water completely washes away the heat,
so I think I circled it about five times.
It's dangerous outside the water, trust me...
At the Fuji Pool, you can snap some amazing photos with a model Mount Fuji as your backdrop.
And yes, life jackets are readily available here too!

The indoor facilities at Da Nang Mikazuki Water Park operate from 9 AM to 7 PM. The outdoor facilities are available from 9 AM to 6 PM.
In the water park and hot spring areas, you must wear swimwear or a rash guard. However, zippered clothing is not permitted. Therefore, it is recommended to prepare swimwear or a rash guard without zippers.
Wristbands for payments at the 1st-floor food court can only be charged with cash. Any remaining balance on the wristband must be refunded before 6:30 PM, so please be sure to check the time.
For the Hyper Slide, riders are restricted if they are under 1.2m or over 1.9m in height, or under 40kg or over 90kg in weight. For the Dragon Slide, children under 1.2m in height or under 30kg in weight are not permitted. Children between 1.2m and 1.4m in height or between 30kg and 40kg in weight may ride accompanied by an adult.
