here is a breakdown of exactly how much I spent,
along with my Da Nang budget, itinerary,
and the must-have essentials you need to pack.

and I was highly satisfied with the room condition and breakfast.

A 5-star hotel with Thu Bon River views and within walking distance to Hoi An Old Town,
it had an incredibly peaceful, laid-back atmosphere
that I absolutely fell in love with.
💡 Quick Tip: If you want to cut down on your Da Nang travel budget,
switching to 4-star hotels or budget-friendly resorts
can easily save you ~$128 to ~$256 per person.

Han Market Shopping
Han Market is an absolute must-visit spot on any Da Nang trip!
It's a treasure trove where you can find mango jellies, local coffee, souvenirs, clothes, shoes, bags, and more.
While the official operating hours are listed as 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
most shops actually open around 9:00 AM
and start winding down around 4:00 to 5:00 PM.
✔ Crucial Tip: Do a quick price check online before you go!
✔ If you're not comfortable haggling, look for fixed-price stalls.
Hoi An Night Tour
Just a 30 to 40-minute drive one-way from Da Nang!
This was hands down the most satisfying part
of my entire Da Nang itinerary.
While you can definitely take a round-trip Grab taxi,
booking a tour in advance gets you seamless round-trip transport
from your hotel to Hoi An. Plus, depending on the option you choose,
you can even add stops at the Marble Mountains and An Bang Beach!
Getting there isn't difficult on your own, but hailing a Grab
every single time you want to move can get a bit tiresome.
If you're traveling with family, I highly recommend booking a tour.

Ba Na Hills Tour (Highly Recommended!)
To be honest, I really debated whether to visit Ba Na Hills or not.
I'm not usually a huge fan of theme parks,
but I was dying to see the famous Golden Bridge in person...
Even on the morning of, I wondered if the ticket was a bit pricey.
But trust me, you absolutely must go!
Just taking the round-trip cable car ride alone
makes the ticket completely worth every single penny.

✔️ Way more things to see and do than you'd expect
📍 Important Pro-Tip
Never, ever schedule this for your very last day.
Due to unpredictable weather, the cable cars can sometimes shut down
for a few hours.
(Yes... I unfortunately had to learn this the hard way...)
If you plan it as a full-day itinerary,
you'll be able to enjoy it with total peace of mind.
Also, booking your tickets in advance lets you enter via QR code
so you can skip the ticket lines entirely!

Booking Airport Pick-up & Drop-off
Don't waste your precious energy and time like we did—
pre-book an airport pickup service for a completely stress-free ride.
I heard that finding a Grab at Da Nang Airport is super easy,
so we arrived without booking ahead.
But because multiple flights landed at the same time,
the crowd was massive, and we had to wait for ages...
For our departure day, I pre-booked airport drop-off,
and it cost almost the same as the Grab we took on day one!
(There was only about a ~$3 difference!)

Shower Filter
This is one of those absolute must-packs whenever I travel to Southeast Asia.
Since the water quality isn't quite the same as back home,
the shower filter will turn visibly yellowish/brown after just a couple of days.
I hated carrying bulky ones, so after testing out different brands,
