Getting to Helio Night Market

Helio Night Market is conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from Lotte Mart. Imagine this ideal itinerary: enjoy a meal and some shopping at Lotte Mart, then take a leisurely stroll to Helio Night Market for some delicious snacks. It's the perfect way to round out your evening. I personally enjoyed dinner at Lotte Mart before making my way to the market.

You can easily explore Helio Night Market in about 20 minutes. It's primarily a food market, with very few stalls selling gifts, toys, or souvenirs.

Just like many Southeast Asian night markets, the jelly stalls are always a hit with kids!

You'll find a wide variety of treats here, from refreshing ice cream to crispy spiral potatoes, savory sausages, grilled skewers, and delicious fried snacks.

What's a great night market without a place to sit and enjoy your food? Even on a weekday, there was ample seating available, so you won't have to worry about crowds.

It seems Helio Night Market isn't as frequented by tourists, giving it a more local feel compared to other spots. Da Nang actually has two prominent night markets: Son Tra Night Market and the Helio Night Market I'm showing you now.

Son Tra Night Market is closer to the Dragon Bridge, making it highly accessible for visitors. However, it's often described as a bit more 'raw' and can get very crowded and chaotic. Helio, on the other hand, feels much more organized and relaxed.

I couldn't resist grabbing a tasty sausage as I walked around.

The prices are clearly marked, and the explanations are easy to understand.

The prices were surprisingly affordable! I also tried some delicious shrimp and enoki mushroom rolls.

Near the entrance, there was even a small sledding area that looked like fun for kids. The cost didn't seem too high, and I thought it would be a great activity if you're traveling with children.

So there you have it – a look at Helio Night Market, one of Da Nang's two major night markets. While it's not massive enough to warrant a special trip from afar, it's definitely worth checking out if you're already planning to visit Lotte Mart.
