Da Nang Airport Fast Track Review 2026: Skip Immigration Lines

On a previous trip to Vietnam, my itinerary had me arriving in Da Nang, then traveling to Phu Quoc before heading back home.

I'd heard mixed reviews about the immigration lines at Da Nang International Airport – some travelers breezed through, while others reported waiting over an hour. I was curious to see the actual situation. True to some of the warnings, the queues were long. Even on a weekday, I estimated a wait time of at least 40 minutes.

Inside the Immigration Hall

While some might say Da Nang's popularity has slightly leveled off compared to its peak, it remains an incredibly sought-after destination for international tourists. With more affordable airfares and a general increase in interest for Southeast Asian travel, Da Nang continues to draw crowds.

During peak season, especially for evening flights, the waiting lines can become exceptionally long. Part of the issue is often a limited number of immigration officers – sometimes as few as two – combined with the fact that many international flights arrive in Da Nang during the evening hours.

How to Use Da Nang Fast Track

With potential wait times ranging from a minimum of 1 hour to sometimes even 2 hours, I highly recommend considering the Da Nang Airport Fast Track service. It's a small fee to save significant time and hassle.

The Fast Track service allows you to proceed through immigration and departure procedures via a dedicated, expedited lane. (While it might feel like a premium add-on, several countries offer similar services to speed up the process for a fee). As you can see in the photo, people holding name placards are all Fast Track users.

Upon arrival in the immigration hall, simply locate a staff member holding a placard. Confirm your name, which you registered during booking, and you'll be promptly guided to the exclusive Fast Track line.

Time Difference

When you opt for standard immigration, you'll find yourself waiting endlessly in line. Although a few additional officers were eventually assigned, perhaps realizing the severity of the queues, it wasn't enough to process the constant stream of tourists efficiently. It took me about 1 hour to finally clear immigration.

Fast Track, on the other hand, isn't a system of queuing and waiting; it's essentially a skip-the-line pass.

If you're traveling with infants or elderly parents on a family vacation, there's truly no reason to forgo the Fast Track service. It makes a world of difference.

For solo travelers like myself, or those with plenty of time, you don't necessarily need to apply. However, for a small fee, speeding through immigration and saving your energy for your adventure is a smart choice.
