Da Nang Fast Track Review 2026: Is it Worth it for Families?

Flights to and from Da Nang often arrive or depart late at night or early in the morning, don't they?

Our flight to Da Nang also arrived around 9 PM.

I figured we'd definitely(?) be exhausted arriving with the kids,

so I applied for a Fast Track service.

On our last trip to Nha Trang, I remembered using the arrival Fast Track

and it worked really well.

So, I only pre-paid for the arrival Fast Track this time,

but it turns out there were some things I regretted!

Today, I'll break down how much Da Nang Fast Track costs for both arrivals and departures,

and what the difference is with VIP Fast Track.

(I'll also include how to book at the lowest price!)

1. Da Nang Airport Fast Track: To Recommend or Not to Recommend?

Most flights from Korea to Da Nang

arrive late at night or early in the morning.

Our flight also arrived at 9 PM,

and having traveled to Vietnam before, I know that when several flights arrive at once,

the lines at immigration can get incredibly long.

This was my first time in Da Nang, and it definitely seemed to have way more package tourists than Nha Trang.​

While you can check how busy the airport is before you arrive,

even if your flight arrives on time,

if an earlier flight is delayed and a bunch of planes pile up,

you'll still have to stand in the back of the line.

So, you need a non-peak arrival time + a bit of luck.

Checking the arrival times of other flights is one way to plan,

but if you're arriving on a night flight with kids,

instead of stressing about calculating all the variables,

it's just better to buy the Fast Track for peace of mind.

(I used Fast Track when I went to Nha Trang too,

and because I had a satisfying experience, it made even more sense this time.)

📌 What is Fast Track?​

A service that helps you quickly complete immigration and emigration procedures

by using dedicated screening lanes at Vietnamese airports.

2. Da Nang VIP Fast Track: What's the Difference?

If you're looking for Da Nang Fast Track services,

you'll often come across something called VIP Fast Track.

Since Nha Trang didn't have this, it was a bit confusing.

And the price was 2-3 times higher, too!

After doing some research, I found that VIP Fast Track

includes lounge access in addition to the standard Fast Track.

📌 Fast Track vs. VIP Fast Track: The Differences

Standard Fast Track allows you to quickly pass through immigration

using a dedicated VIP lane upon arrival in Da Nang, Vietnam,

and that's pretty much it.

VIP Fast Track, however, adds lounge access + baggage claim assistance

to the standard Fast Track service.

This means that after immigration, while you relax in the lounge,

a staff member will retrieve your checked luggage for you

and guide you all the way out of the airport!

However, if you're traveling as a family, you might want to do the math.

For the standard option, child fares are incredibly cheap,

but with VIP, the price for children jumps up significantly.​

Based on 2 adults and 2 children,

the standard option for all four would be around ~\$19,

but if you go for VIP, it becomes ~\$64.

A ~$44 difference is enough for a massage locally,

so for us, since we didn't have much luggage

and were heading straight to the hotel by Grab,

the standard option was perfectly sufficient.

3. Da Nang Fast Track Prices

If you're looking at the same Fast Track or VIP Fast Track service,

there's no difference in the service itself,

so you should just buy it from wherever is cheapest.

Just so you know, arrival and departure prices are different, and this table is based on arrival fast track!

It turns out that both the Standard Fast Track and VIP Fast Track are

most affordable when purchased through MyRealTrip!

(They even guarantee the lowest price, so if you find it cheaper elsewhere, they'll compensate you!)

Children under 12 years old can get the arrival fast track for around ~$2, which is quite a steal!

I wondered if I really needed the VIP Fast Track, so I opted for the

Standard Arrival Fast Track.

Usually, only the immigration queue for arrivals is super long, and I didn't think departures took too long, so I only booked the Da Nang arrival fast track... but oh, how wrong I was!

If you can, definitely book the departure fast track too... seriously! (I mean it!)

It wasn't even a peak time for flights, and since it was an afternoon flight, I thought we'd have plenty of time, so we just went without it.

From the check-in counter all the way to security,

I stood for about an hour, holding my child.

My arms were aching, my child kept asking to be held, and the queue just wouldn't move!

I seriously regretted not getting the departure fast track!

There's a reason why the departure fast track is more expensive than the arrival one 😭

FYI, you can't book the Standard Fast Track on the same day.

But for the VIP Fast Track, same-day booking is an option

(up to 4 hours before your arrival in Da Nang).

During peak season or holidays, bookings can fill up fast, and certain dates might even sell out!

It's best to enter your travel dates and compare actual prices first.

4. How to Use the Vietnam Fast Track Service

There's specific information you'll need when booking the Fast Track.

You'll have to provide your full name (as it appears on your passport), gender, flight number,

and your local arrival date.

(This info is required regardless of where you book!)

If it's your first time using a fast track service,

you might be wondering how it all works.

📌 How to Use Your Vietnam Da Nang Fast Track

1️⃣ Disembark your plane and head towards the immigration hall.

2️⃣ Take the escalator down.

3️⃣ Look for the staff member holding a sign.

4️⃣ Tell them your booking name and confirm your details on their list.

5️⃣ Follow their instructions to the VIP lane.

After that, you just go through immigration, and you're all set!

Just make your way straight to the immigration counters;

the staff will be waiting in a visible spot with a sign,

so you'll find them easily! 😉

Make sure you find the staff member first; if you go straight to the VIP counter without meeting them, you won't be able to use the service.

(Just a heads-up, photography isn't allowed in the immigration area, so I don't have photos for that part!)

The Fast Track service helps you get through immigration quickly,

but your baggage might come out quickly or slowly – it really varies.

I was a little worried about my luggage taking a while,

but thankfully, after I cleared immigration and made a quick stop at the restroom,

my bags were already out!

So, I was able to get out fast.

If I had been stuck in line comforting a child who had just woken up,

that time would have felt so much longer. Using the fast track meant we got out early, which was a huge relief!

It was definitely worth it!

For departure... as I mentioned, I didn't actually do it.

But if you're planning on using it for arrival, I highly recommend getting it for departure too.

Since Da Nang Airport isn't huge,

I'd heard that it wasn't really necessary,

so I only opted for arrival Fast Track, and I seriously regretted it!​

The departure line felt like it took forever!

Maybe it's because Da Nang is such a popular tourist destination,

but there were so many group package tourists,

and baggage checks took an absolute age...

Waiting with a child in my arms was truly exhausting.

If I'd done Fast Track, I could have arrived at the airport a bit later and still

zipped through quickly.

If you're traveling with kids or your parents,

definitely get Fast Track for both arrival and departure.
