Since I started living in Chuncheon,
this is my first time visiting World Oncheon 🤩
Everyone around me recommended it, saying the water was excellent,
so I came with high expectations! Haha.
My fiancé and I visited on a weekday afternoon,
and the crowd was unbelievable...?!
Are all these cars really for World Oncheon? 😯
Suddenly, it felt like a tour of a super hot spot!
1F: Men's Bathhouse + Open-Air Bath
2F: Jjimjilbang (Sauna) + Bulgama (Traditional Kiln Sauna) + Amenities
3F: Women's Bathhouse + Open-Air Bath
Women's bathhouse can be accessed by elevator!
World Oncheon 24 Bathing Fees
Bathing fees are:
Daytime: Adults ~$7 | Children ~$5
Nighttime: Adults ~$8 | Children ~$6
(Children are 1-7 years old)
(Nighttime rates apply from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM)
If you wish to use the jjimjilbang (sauna) in addition to bathing,
a jjimjil-bok (sauna wear) rental fee of ~$1 is added!
Since we planned to use the jjimjilbang, we paid a total of ~$17 for two adults.
From 10:30 PM to 2:00 AM
is World Oncheon 24's bathhouse cleaning time.
Those planning to visit late at night
should keep this in mind, as the water might be cooler during this period.
For teenagers, jjimjilbang hours are from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM!
Kids... have your fun quickly and head home!
Chuncheon World Oncheon 24 boasts alkaline water quality,
with a pH level of 9.02, reportedly the highest in Korea!
I actually bathed there, and the water was incredibly slippery.
It was even more slippery than a Japanese onsen I visited recently
(though pH levels vary everywhere, of course!)
After changing into our jjimjil-bok with Kong,
we reunited in the jjimjilbang ~♥ (lol)
The women's jjimjil-bok is green...
The men's is an ivory-ish shade...
And children's are yellow!
I was a bit taken aback at first because the jjimjil-bok was green, haha.
The jjimjilbang offers a Hwangtobang (Loess Room), a Salt Room,
and though I couldn't get a photo, there's also a Bulgama (Traditional Kiln Sauna) room!
Just getting close to it, you can feel the intense heat! Haha.
Chuncheon World Oncheon 24 Jjimjilbang Menu
For me, this is practically the main event!
Since we're at a jjimjilbang, let's start by grabbing some food!!
After ordering, you'll find the restaurant area just next door.
Place your order at the counter,
and everything is self-service!
Tteok-ramyeon ~$3 / Seaweed Soup ~$6
The side dishes usually come with the seaweed soup.
For ramyeon? Just pickled radish, I guess!
First off... it's delicious! The seaweed soup is a basic version with just seaweed,
but they are incredibly generous with the seaweed 🫢
All the side dishes were delicious too... especially the bellflower root, perilla leaves, and stir-fried fish cakes ㅠㅠ
But, the kimchi had thick stems and honestly tasted like mass-produced Chinese kimchi.
The ramyeon actually had the perfect amount of water and was truly, truly delicious..
So good that I ordered an extra bowl of rice to mix in, of course!
We were both so happy after eating, lol.
Gotta get our energy up before the jjimjilbang, right? ^^..
The restaurant area was somewhere between cool and chilly? Maybe because the jjimjilbang is so warm,
it can feel a little cool when you first step in!
Even on a weekday, there were quite a few people using the jjimjilbang.
And the public bath? Even more, like, way, way more... enough to explain all those cars we saw earlier!
If it's this busy on a weekday, it's truly a recognized hotspot for baths in Chuncheon.
The salt room and the red clay room had similar temperatures,
but the red clay room felt just a tiny bit warmer?
I usually sweat a lot,
but it takes me ages to break a sweat in a jjimjilbang ㅠ.
My fiancé, on the other hand, was sweating buckets in less than 5 minutes...
I even wore sleep socks and still wasn't sweating,
but after about 20-30 minutes, I finally started to break a sweat!!
We went back and forth between the red clay room and the salt room about 2-3 times,
and then I felt a bit tired and thought I'd just rest my eyes for a bit...
Next thing I knew, I'd slept for almost 2 hours?! Lololol.
Talk about a sleep haven... Even with more people around than before,
the noise felt like white noise, and I just kept falling asleep.
After showering, I felt incredibly refreshed and clean...!!!
I just blow-dried my hair without any styling products, and look how calm it is..
Must be because the water here is so good, right?
When we came out, the sun was already starting to set.
We originally planned to bathe for about an hour and meet in the lobby!
But the water was even better than expected..
I think I spent over 20 minutes just in the outdoor bath alone!
Also, for about 5-6 years now,
I've been exclusively using the Jungjun Industrial exfoliating mitt (you know, the 'Ttaer-mes' one, haha!).
But it mysteriously disappeared recently, so I had to use a regular one for the first time in ages,
and it took so much longer that my fiancé had to wait quite a while, haha ;

If you come expecting a top-tier jjimjilbang, the jjimjil facilities might not blow you away.
It's more like a public bath with an attached jjimjil space.
Still, I sweated well, and most importantly, the hot spring water was absolutely fantastic!
It's also great that there's a small outdoor bath. Haha.
So, for fellow bath lovers like me, definitely pay it a visit! 🫶🤍
A Recommended Spot for Sauna Lovers
The daytime bathhouse fee for adults is ~$7, and an additional ~$1 is charged for jjimjil-bok (sauna wear) rental when using the jjimjilbang. Therefore, the total is ~$8.
The bathhouse cleaning hours are from 10:30 PM to 2:00 AM. The water might be cold during this time, so it's advisable to keep this in mind when visiting.
Chuncheon World Oncheon 24 has alkaline water quality, with a pH level of 9.02, which is the highest concentration in Korea. The water is notably very slippery.
The jjimjilbang has a Red Clay Room, Salt Room, and Fire Kiln Room. The restaurant sells items such as Tteok-ramyeon (spicy rice cake ramen) for ~$3 and Miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) for ~$6.
