Chuncheon Santorini Cafe Review: Iconic Bell Tower Views

Day 1 of our Chuncheon trip,

After visiting the Soyanggang Skywalk and enjoying some delicious Dakgalbi,

we found ourselves with a bit of awkward downtime.

It felt a shame to just head back to our accommodation,

but no specific place came to mind either.

There weren't many places open for an evening visit,

so with the thought, "Shall we try a cafe?",

we ended up at a spot recommended to us:

Chuncheon Santorini!

Exterior

Chuncheon Santorini Cafe is nestled on Gubongsan Cafe Street.

Right next door, there's also a Two Some Place,

but I really wanted to experience something unique to Chuncheon,

a truly special place,

and I think I made a great choice.

Interior

You have to order at the counter to enter.

I'm usually so indecisive about menus,

so I spent quite a while here! ;;;

This is the first floor.

Outdoor Garden

The real highlight of this place

isn't the cafe interior, but its amazing outdoor garden!

A vast grassy area stretches out,

with a white building, blue dome,

and a bell tower structure, all reminiscent of Santorini, standing proudly in the center.

This very spot perfectly explains

"why this place is so famous."

Kids immediately started running around!

We arrived just as the sun was setting,

and the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

The sky gradually shifted colors,

revealing a breathtaking sunset spreading across the horizon,

and the atmosphere was just as beautiful as a painting.

As you slowly stroll further in,

your view naturally opens up,

offering a panoramic overlook of Chuncheon city.

While I was busy taking 100 photos,

the little ones ran around for ages.

Second Floor Interior

On the stairs,

a large Santorini painting.

We went up to the second floor and settled in.

From the second-floor window, looking at the bell tower,

it felt like a framed picture, which was beautiful in its own way.

Since it's a large cafe, there's plenty of seating,

perfect for groups,

and it felt really comfortable not having to worry about overstaying our welcome.

The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a wonderful sense of openness,

and the night sky looks beautiful.

The lights reflected in the window,

looking like starlight.

You can even step outside!

Mango Gelato

The lemonade was delicious,

and the Matcha Latte was perfectly rich and smooth.

I worried it might be bitter because of its deep color,

but everyone said it was delicious!

Tiramisu

It seemed like a smaller portion than I expected,

but with so many layers of mascarpone cheese, it was incredibly tasty.

Cream Latte

I ordered it because it was a signature item,

and it wasn't overly strong, but had plenty of thick, chewy cream, and it was delicious!

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of overly sweet things,

so I hesitated a bit because it was a Caramel Cream Latte.

But the signature drink is truly delicious.

It's a flavor that anyone who loves cream lattes will adore!

Mango Gelato

This is a smooth and rich mango gelato.

Everyone loved how cute it was with the little cone stuck in it!

It's a wonderfully sticky, high-density gelato.

The mango flavor is so intense and delicious.

What a truly wonderful day!

It was a bit chaotic with all the kids,

but my amazing family always goes with the flow,

even when our plans are a little spontaneous! 😄
