I spent hours researching to find a place that was both safe and convenient for getting around.

Tranquil Thai Vibes, Old Town

If you're looking to immerse yourself in authentic Thai tradition, Old Town is your perfect match.

This neighborhood, encircled by ancient city walls, offers a healing charm as you wander through its charming alleys.

It's incredibly popular for solo travelers in Chiang Mai.

I personally wasn't a fan of the Tha Phae Gate area – it's often too crowded and, well, teeming with pigeons 🕊️…💩

Instead, I stayed near the North Gate within Old Town, and it truly was a hidden gem!

The famous Chang Puak Market was just steps away, offering delicious street food every night.

The area itself was relatively quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for a restful night's sleep.

I think it's the best spot for anyone who loves a calm, serene atmosphere ‼️

If you prefer a trendy, clean, and modern city vibe, then Nimmanahaeminda (often shortened to Nimman) is definitely for you!

It's a district brimming with beautiful, aesthetic cafes and stylish boutique shops, making it a favorite among female travelers.

With major shopping centers like Maya Mall and One Nimman, shopping is convenient, and the streets stay well-lit late into the night, so I never felt unsafe walking around the Nimmanahaeminda area, even after dark.

There are also many beautiful co-working spaces where digital nomads gather to work,

making it the first area mentioned when people seek stylish Chiang Mai accommodation.

Santitham is

located between Old Town and Nimmanahaeminda, and rather than feeling like a tourist spot,

The cost of living here is truly low, making it an excellent fit for those planning a super budget-friendly trip 👍🏻👍🏻

It's a joy to explore every nook and cranny, discovering hidden local eateries and cafes.

This Chiang Mai Santitham accommodation location is incredibly useful for anyone who wants to naturally blend into the local atmosphere.

It's a price that won't break the bank even for extended stays!

The most famous place here is

Green Tiger House.

It's an eco-friendly accommodation, and it's so famous for its delicious vegan breakfast that guests rave about their satisfaction.

Definitely consider Santitham as a recommended Chiang Mai accommodation spot if you're looking to maximize your budget!

Chiang Mai is a magical place where each neighborhood has such distinct charms that it feels new every time I visit!

Personally, I had such wonderful memories staying at the Green Tiger House, which is near Old Town's North Gate and also famous as a Santitham accommodation!
